Much enjoyed. I always love it when people play some of their own stuff. Thanks, David. First time I've tried recording electric rhythm guitars. First time I've ever recorded a bass part. Wasn't even sure I could get that big rock sound. So, I'm pleased that you feel they "work". Hi, floyd jane. Crunchy opening, telling me it won't be a typical fj song... as if such a thing exists. Lots of interesting stuff going on, just like the subject of the song. Cool harmonies! You're a man of many talents, and they all shine here.  Thanks, David. It's all a journey. Hey Floyd, too "complicated" for me! No, I'm just kidding... It's a really good song that sounds great. The intro hooks right in with the bass drum and rhythm guitar. It's very well constructed.
I also really like the dubbed vocals and the echo effect. It's brilliant.

AWESOME!!!! Vocals, lyric and band. “The kind of girl you don’t take home to Mama”😄 This is BIG and fun and had Janice dancing and smiling from the get go. Your guitar and bass tracks sounded top notch in chops, tone and mix. (Bet you could nail some lead also.  ) The drums and percussion are very good and excellently placed in the mix. The keyboards had us picturing Benmont Tench. Yeah, we loved it ... rock on! J&B

Yeah! I love it when you step outside of your normal thing (which I love too of course  Excellent, floyd, nice job on all the instruments. Great write, and cool vocal arrangement. Enjoyed! Thanks, Dave. HOW THE HECK do I raise my voice in admiration of your unending breath of musical talent, Floyd. Seriously, not since Bela Fleck have I felt such admiration. Okay enough. What the... dang! Man, this is --to paraphrase the best-- Simply complicated. So much to listen to... 3rd time through so far, and I still pick up stunning pieces of this extraordinary whole. And I didn't even listen to the lyrics yet. BRB
4th time... Man, there are so many singers who make me not wanna, and many songwriters who make me want to hide what I make, and I'm a humble student of pretty much every mixing/master, but you are one of the very few (like McCartney) who are in all of those groups. Zowie, Marty. I will humbly (or maybe not-so-hunbly) bask in these words, letting them soak in. Too kind.

Nice little rocker with lots of little details to discover, I really like that a lot. LOVE the phrase “The kind of girl you don't take home to mama” and the lyrics in general. My only minor not is the reverb on the vocals, I would increase the dry part a little to add more energy the them. But reverb is a matter of taste anyway, and since no one else is complaining, it's probably just me and can be safely ignored

Nice. Always nice to see you drop in, Trev... Interesting production choices.
The Ohio Express connection to the bass is interesting even if the provenience doesn't hold up. I like the Super Freak Rick James line...... The kinda girl you don't take home to momma.
It sounds like it wants to be a rocker. Nothing really out of the lines on this.....Nicely done.
BTW: the guitars sound pretty good too. Nice tone. GR7 sounds good. Thanks, Herb

When I read the lyrics, I was expecting a country song. What a thumping and pumping rocker that has a catchy groove. Great production and musicianship. I can see a guy with a big head of hair singing this song an octave higher and having a big hit with it.

Brilliant song from the start. The chorus itself reads like rock poetry. Thanks, Chay.... Hi Floyd Before I played the song I examined the lyrics and thought, hmmmm ....edgy, interesting, metaphorical, with a healthy dose of social commentary. I'm liking this so far. That opening riff made me pay attention.(reminded me of the Kinks YRGM). As I listen I'm thinking that this song is fire, a genuine rocking tour de force of great vocals, instrumentation and mix and I am aware that I am privy to a Floyd master class. There were small aspects of the song however that I wasn't keen on but they are solely a reflection of my individual preferences. "Complicated" is an exhilarating blend of energy and musical passion which showcases your raw talent. Excellent ! I like that! Thanks, Izzy... This is really good Floyd. Well played and well sung.

Floyd...I looked at the title and thought...okay here's another touching ballad from Floyd...super...then I got kicked in the ear...Okay lets go I thought and the ride was worth the price of the ticket...not complicated at all just some stiff rock with another set of great lyrics...kind of a wake up call that you can and do produce a great variety of exceptional tunes...always enjoy your productions...like I said...not Complicated at all!

What a great opening with that pounding drum and guitar lick. Nice treatment on the vocals as well. Yet another crisp and clear production, with all the right touches. Very creative chorus (bridge?). And some great lines throughout. Awesome vocal on this to boot. Excellent!

Good, good mix of a song that suits right now.
Cool narrative though I found myself questioning the take home to mamma line...wondering if it was necessary etc...just my brain doing its thing on side tracks.

Awesome hook and well delivered. I'll bet you had a lot of fun with this one!
Very unique feel to the chorus which grabs the listeners ear; great guitar work woven throughout. Great job!

When I read the title of this one, I immediately thought of the Carolyn Dawn Johnson song of the same title (in the late 90s, I think). Anyway, this ain't nothing' like that song!
So, what genres do you NOT excel in? Possibly Classical Baroque? Flamenco?
Powerful, strong, engaging, a band that compels you to keep listening, a great vocal, super lyric, wild and crazy drums. Those are the first of many things that came to mind. May i summarize it by saying this better than excellent? Because ... well, it is.
