James,
Serene and beautiful...
The piano is great. It almost has a vocal quality - it flows so nicely. Love the sax as well - great choice.
Excellent mix. Thoroughly enjoyed!

James, that is a fantastic piano track - brilliant Great backing band. A very melodic song. FYIW I could have done without the sax. I think the piano would have carried the entire better. But that is just my opinion and others may or may not agree. Regardless this is a great song.
Doc-take it easy John this is just a sharp scalpel. It will not cut deep so don't worry. Me-I'm not John Doc-I know, I am!

James, love your composition. Very organic in tone but quite ethereal in the melodic and harmonic movements. The sax solo is quite complementary and I like it a lot, too. Not sure about electric guitar(?) as I'm detecting some dissonance that's more distracting than pleasing. Might just be my unsophisticated ear though. Anyway...This is a nicely nuanced piece, and I enjoyed my listen very much.

James,
You are on a roll. Second song in a row that you’ve put out here where the production, IMHO, is just spot on. Like the melody of the piano, and all the nice touches and licks throughout the production. Seems ripe for some lyrics and a vocal . . . but perhaps you are working on that yet. Super work . . . love that sax lead (though wondering if it needs to sit backing the mix just a tad).

Bob: thank you so much. Glad you enjoyed Mario: thanks! I think I'll keep the sax for now, but it's a thought to do without it. I'll see if I have time to experiment! Anyway, thanks so much for listening and for such kind comments Ron: spot on, re: dissonance. There's a moment when I wrote an A flat (by mistake, instead of an A natural) in the piano, and an A natural (correctly) in the BIAB guitar backing track - and, of course, they clash. Argh ... will have to fix things Perfect hearing!!! Thanks for pointing it out! floyd: thanks. I just wrote the piano track via notation, as opposed to playing it on a keyboard, though ... and then put the resulting MIDI through Dorico, that's all. But thank you for your kind words! Deej: I thought about writing some lyrics, and I could do that ... then again, the dedicatee of this song would know exactly what it's about, and I'm thinking therefore to leave everything, otherwise, to the listener's imagination I'm so glad you liked the song!!!

Oh, yeah!! Love the Classical James. Very interesting --even compelling-- piano. It may be loud in the mix, but it defintiely deserves the spotlight. Very well-crafted Delsono movements throughout. Oh, man... it ended and I wanted more. Keep 'em coming, James.

Hi, James. I like it! It doesn't sound like your typical harmony, or even arrangement, so I'd never have guessed it to be something you're written. My only nit is that it would have been nice for the piano to explore the higher register for a bit of contrast. Nice work!

Very contemplative as we look at a gentle rain and pretty fall leaves out the window.
The piano set and maintained our engagement throughout. We thought the brief dissonance was perhaps intentional.
Well done!

Hi James. I do like the piano melody but the guitar was very tinny and distracting and could be deleted. The sax wasn't contributing much to the mood, either. Maybe something softer, like a flute would sound better. Of course the above is just my opinion.

Hi james,
Another wonderful creation by you. The piano track is a true joy! The guitar was a bit busy, in my opinion. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it from beginning to end - the piano sold it!
Best to you,
Alan

Marty: thank you So glad you enjoyed "Classical James" David Cuny: thanks! So glad you liked it. Yes, it's a little atypical of me, but I'm trying to "branch out" a little ;), so ... thanks for listening! Janice and Bud: thank you so much for listening. No, the dissonance was not intentional, haha, but it's only one note, and I'm too lazy (for now, at least) to go back and re-render everything because of one note, haha ... a laziness that will be the downfall of me, some day, but, for now, here we are ... glad you enjoyed the piece, otherwise, though! Vic: thanks so much for your honest thoughts. Maybe a flute would indeed work better. I need to look at it again, of course - but thanks for pointing this out Alan: thank you! Really kind of you to listen and comment. The guitar was a BIAB track, so it's, of course, real hard to find something that "fits totally like a glove". Still ... you should have heard some of the other tracks I decided to eventually discard, haha In any case, thank you so much for such kind comments!!!

A lovely piece. Not as complex a chord progression as often, but pleasantly calm like describing settling down to peace. Nice melody and arrangement, sort of a classical song, but with some jazzy elements. I enjoyed the piano sound. The sax is a very nice element telling its own version of the story, a rose in your beautiful musical garden.
