This is an old song that was done with Band in a Box many years ago. I don't recall the particulars. other than I'm playing the piano and the guitars.

Green Sleeves

If you've heard this before feel free to ignore or listen......, this is for the new folks here.

Soundclick runs into the next song which is Come Immanuel which is also a Christmas song as well.... Also done in BB. Same specs.... with vocals.

Enjoy

Herb, I think Greensleeves was the first song I learned on the guitar (not by choice).

I like your interpretation way better than anything I did back then, especially where you play the harmonies.
Well done!

Herb,

I'm sure I've heard this before, but glad I stopped back in again if so. Really cool spaghetti-western style version of this Christmas classic. Good stuff!

Nicely done, Herb. Sounds like the theme music to A Fistful of Christmas. That would be a cool flick.

Hi, Herb.

Ha! Not what I was expecting.

Nicely played, and a fun take on a classic. smile

Herb,

I've listened to this before, but I was ready for another dose of excellent Christmas music. As I have said in the past, I admire and appreciate the big sound you have created from a typically simplistically-styled song.

The backing tracks hint slightly at Balero while the lead tracks are Pop-Rock oriented. Very well executed!

Nice arrangement and mix.

Hi, Herb, I'm new enough to be a target of this post, and old enough to know I was gonna like it before pushing play. Wow, man, this is an excellent and very creative version of this classic. That piano is perfect in timing, taste and technique. Then you come in singing the changes with your guitar. Oh, man. Enjoyed it so much I stuck around to hear Emanual. Yep, I'm making great choices today.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Spanish western?
I can see two cowboys ready for a duel or a ride through the desert. With a stop at the next saloon, of course! In any case, it's well done and has a retro feel that I like.

I remember you doing this tune Herb. Was really glad to hear it again. it is one of my favorite songs. Remember playing it on the organ when I was about 10 years old. Well done..

Herb...really nice rendition of a classic tune...very appropriate at this time of the year...it sounds like a Manheim Steamroller arrangement would sound...very cool!

Herb, this is absolutely fantastic.
It sounds like it came from Ventures' album.
Loved it.

Okay, I'm a huge fan of Early Music, so my senses got a bit of a shock when I heard the first few bars. But then I realized it was guitarhacker and made perfect sense. Very nicely done. I see you hit number 1 with it on Soundclick, congratulations!

Hi Herb.

This is such a great arrangement.
It's hard to believe that it's 12 years old.
Just like the folk song, your version of it has well stood the test of time.
I'm a fan the overall sound you have created as well as your performance.
You've got all the instrumental hooks happening in all the perfect places.
Whenever I hear this, I'm reminded of those instrumentals in the early 1960s such as Apache, The Lonely Bull, Telstar, etc.
That said, your production and your mix is streets ahead of those.

One of my favorite melodies. Original take with the instrumentation and a very full sound. Your instrumental work is impressive.
