Knowing What We Know We Know on Soundcloud
Knowing What We Know We Know on YouTube

Sometimes it's not just what you know, but what you DO with what you know,  Ya know? Today's the 30th and this is my 30th song here this year. NY's Eve is kind of a world-wide day of thanksgiving, so thanks to everyone here for doing what you do to make this such a fun spot for listening enjoyment while building some wonderful e-friends.

Style is _HARDY.STY (Hardy Blues Rock Quartet)

RealTracks in song: ~~425:Organ, B3, Background Blues Sw 120
RealTracks in song: 565:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm Blues Monday Sw 065
RealTracks in song: 2886:Guitar, Acoustic, Rhythm FolkBluesSlowShuffleBrent Sw 085
RealDrums in style:BluesRockShuffle^2-a:Snare, HiHat , b:Snare, Ride was used in the redesign in EZDDrummer.
Dave Bell (Blue Attitude) played guitar. I played bass and sang.

Knowing What We Know We Know

We get the feeling that no one in this town
will ever make it out alive.
We sense the tension in whatever's going down,
and fear they won't survive.

Well, knowing what we know we know we gotta go.
From seeing what we saw, we see
there's no way we can stay knowing what we know
--knowing what we know would be.

We hear commotion in the room down the hall,
and run to see if we could assist.
Chaos all around with both sides in a brawl.
We knew our presence couldn't subsist.

Well, knowing what we know we know we gotta go.
It seems the proper time to flee.
The anger in this town appears is gonna show
what knowing what we know could be.

We ran outside and we stood all alone
when everybody stayed taking sides.
Each one wants to put their seat upon the throne.
They'll never heal from all that divides.

Well, knowing what we know we know we gotta go.
We wish them well and quickly leave.
There's no way we can stay knowing what we know
--knowing what we know will be.

Knowing what we know we know we cannot take it slow
Now is the time to go knowing what we know we know.

Well that was a sweet little waltz number...right? crazy When I hear Dave's guitar kick into the lead intro on your songs what I know is it's going to be hot and it's going to be good and it's not going to be a waltz...another very cleverly written number with your quintessential wordplay to drive a spectacular band grounded in your fabulous bass work and Dave's marque blues leads (oh by the way be sure and tell him that I really like his hair in this one)...no one's better at this genre than you guys...super vocals man...your stuff is so refreshing and unique!

My favorite Blues Rock band is at again! Marty, you and Dave lay down a killer track every single time! I know that realtrack and drums are a vital part of the show here, but your bass and Daves searing guitar parts are what makes this track special! You guys are awesome! I enjoyed it!
Thanks, TB

Fabulous tune, and the guitar, bass and vocals are smashing. Crisply arranged and produced. The BiaB instruments all sound perfect. Hard to go wrong with a B3 and the blues. Nice one to go out on!

Marty & Dave,

You two gentlemen know how to make exceptional music. Here's some proof in the pudding.

You have a way with words that makes many of us envious - I'm in that group.

Dave's guitar smokes, as it always does.

So what do I know about all this? Well, I know that I know that this is some crazy good music. Ya know what I mean??!!

Happy New year to both of you.

Alan

Haha, Thanks, Dan. I suppose a crafty couple could dance in 3/4; occasionally the beats will fall in step. Yep, Dave's work is so hot it triggers the reflex arc that tingles the spine. Dave & I only appear in a few videos. In my case, it goes toward keeping the illusion of youthful musician. hehe

Thanks so much, Tano. It was a lot of fun laying down the tracks for that ride.

Thanks so much, Torrey. Yep, it all starts with those guys in the box, then we add our stuff, change the box guys a bit, then we start the next one. Love the cycle.

"Smashing"? I like that, Ron. So upper-class sounding like something I could hear Sir Paul saying. Much appreciated, Ron.

Any song built on your bass n vocals + Dave's guitar is going to have a blues flavour and be sprinkled with linguistic playfulness.
This one is no exception except it's a particularly fine example.
at 2.24 - EACH is a bit lost and could use a bump.

Okay, this song is gonna be stuck in my head for the next few days, I'm quite sure. I know you knew that would happen. Great job - too good of a job, actually. Verrry catchy, Mister wordsmith!

Thanks again for your critical listen, Ray. You're right, "each" is timid. Singing and caring about the vox in a mix is new to me, so tips like yours help a lot.
