Country Real Track ballad type styles, sometimes the bass will do a walking run to the next bar, sometimes not. Is there a way to force the bass to do this walk? I appreciate any advice.

Country Real Track ballad type styles, sometimes the bass will do a walking run to the next bar, sometimes not. Is there a way to force the bass to do this walk? I appreciate any advice. Offhand I can think of 3 potential options: 1. Use playable RTs and enter the notes manually (although I find that playable RTs can sound rather artificial) 2. IIRC, you can enter slash chords for each measure and have the slash apply only to the bass at each measure and add in the specific notes (I forget where that option is. I'll have to check the manual) 3.0 Use mutltiriffs until you hit upon the walk(s), 3.5. If you have v2024 or later, highlight the bars in question, and use the part (Re)generate feature until you get the walk. Finally, a good number of bass tracks, and especially the country ones, will have walking bass in the B Substyle. This is sometimes explicitly mentioned in the RT memos, but unfortunately, many RTs do not have memos, or the memos have virtually no information in them. Hope this helps! DB09

... 1. Use playable RTs and enter the notes manually (although I find that playable RTs can sound rather artificial)... Agreed (about the less than 'real sounds' delivered from playable RealTracks). If I understand correctly, this is a way to replace audio musical phrases made by real musicians using their instruments, with sounds generated by other sound sources, so as to be able to deliver specific notes, etc.

Thanks! Some good ideas that I'm anxious to try. Especially regenerate individual bars. I didn't know you do that. I thought it was all or nothing. I suppose you keep doing that until you get what you want and then freeze the track?
I have created the song with RT, and then did the same song with a midi style and use that midi bass track in my daw that then allows me to edit the midi track. It's time consuming, and usually doesn't produce results that are as good as RT.
I've also done some "copy and paste" editing when I could find what I wanted elsewhere in the song. I've done this a lot with Real Drums when BIAB would put an unwanted drum roll in the middle of a bar where I wanted a straight drum pattern.
Hoping to find some good solutions to help with this.

I was able to do the regenerate on individual bars and it fixed the problem completely. This is a game changer for my workflow. Thanks
