Chris, I always enjoy your creations and arrangements..and totally agree with the sentiment of the lyrics.
May I respectfully say that (in my opinion) when lyrics are created in which the rhyming words have unnatural emphasis on the wrong syllable, it is very distracting for the listener. My hearing ear immediately thinks “we’ll, it rhymes, but no person would ever say the word that way! Then I’m continually listening for another “wrong” pronunciation, and so I’m distracted from all the goodness of the track. Example: no one says plenTEE or empTEE.
OK, this is just my POV on lyric writing and I think it’s always best to avoid this. Otherwise, really enjoyed the melody, chord structure, instrumentation, production..thanks!

Le blues du Smartphone. On regrette nos chevaux de trait à œillères qui animaient nos campagnes.
J'ai vu à la télé, un jeune qui se fait fort de ne pas avoir de smartphone. Peut être va t'il lancer une mode salutaire?
Encore une belle réalisation pour commencer l'année.

Nice, atmospheric song and good lyrics. Don't you have a lot of friends who sing? The synth voices were fine, but I look forward to your friends' vocals. Good work overall.

A real singer voice is better than a synthetic voice.
But I only know french singers...

"Their eyes glued to the screen." That's the truth. As a teacher, I see this all the time. Fortunately, the school is finally putting restrictions on smart phones.
Nice tune with a clever arrangement with a laid back sound.
