Happy, safe & creative 2025 to All. Please press ☮ My NY'sR is to finish all my song sketches. With the help of biab I finished the first song from my song sketch vault. Izzy, happy New Year! Cool tune, could be a lost Neil Young track. Of course he's still "finding" whole albums in his unreleased catalog, so who knows? Ha!
Like the shifting production as the song progresses, it really works, and that's something Neil does, too. Very nice vocals throughout. Especially cool vocal harmony on the "we are the dreamers..." section. Very fast four minutes, a tribute to your skill for sure.
Good luck with that NYR!

Hi Izzy Happy new year to you too For rock music I like to stop by your Soundcloud profile ;-) The song sounds good The vocals are also well done Maybe you experimented a little too much with BiaB within the song. A clearer song line would have been the better way for me 0:37 should serve as a basis But that's just my opinion In any case, good work Izzy Andi ;-)

Thanks Ron for listening and comments. could be a lost Neil Young track. Of course he's still "finding" whole albums in his unreleased catalog, so who knows? Ha! I love his music but Nah. Ever since my last Neil faux pas, the esteemed Mr Young is well and truely off my pirate radar Thanks for the kind words Ron and I'm looking forward to hearing lots of your great music this year!

Thank you Andi for taking the time to listen, analyse and comment. For rock music I like to stop by your Soundcloud profile ;-) Cool , thankyou Maybe you experimented a little too much with BiaB within the song. A clearer song line would have been the better way for meThis is exactly the kind of refreshing feedback which is very helpful going forward. Listening now I fully agree and I blame the "silly season" for ignoring my own "less is more" philosophy Thanks again Andi, your input is much valued!!!

I love the concept of this song, the lyrics, and your voice. The melody strains under the load of the lyrics, that's the best way I can describe it. I'm not sure how to tell you to fix that. It's just a songwriting skill that I'm sure you will get in time. Try to rewrite it so the melody and lyrics flow together. Again, it's potentially a great song, just need to get it to flow better. It's worth a redo, IMHO.

Really excellent song all around with an impressive use of so many RTs. Lyrically, it sent me back to the UK's 1969 Bath Blues Festival, which was the best outdoor event I've ever been to. Among those performing were the still bluesy Fleetwood Mac, John Heisman's Coliseum, Led Zeppelin performing their 1st album, and Taste with the amazing Rory Gallagher. It was the last Bath Blues Festival as Glastonbury took over, but akthough that's still going it's now become corporate.
Some favourite Waoist Adages: #1: Play on the Way. #13: Ask not for whom the flower blooms, it blooms for you. #58: Bring consciousness to it. #63: On the road to effortlessness, effort must be made. #92: Be Love Now, the rest will come on its own.

Wow, Izzy. This is gonna be a good year. If that is just the main RTs, you have been busy. Cool song. Excellent vocal and lyrics. Man, it's as if every band that played that stage is in this song. I was homeless at the time of Woodstocck, and missed my ride.
What a lot of words and so well said. Cool beat and a lot of cool dynamic moments.

We can hear influences from many of the bands there (CSN, Jefferson Airplane and more).
Great vocals!
That is a great band smorgasbord with a variety of old and new sounds. And the mix is outstanding setting up a fine sound stage on our monitors.
Love the chorus lyric (all of it is great but the chorus is so engaging).
Enjoyed it and Happy New Year!

Thanks Robert for taking the time to listen and offering your appraisal. I am well aware of the importance that you place on lyrics so your opinion carries extra weight and I thank you for it.
"The melody strains under the load of the lyrics"
I could not decide what to leave on the cutting room floor so I crammed them all in with the result that the song resembles an overcrowded apartment.
"It's just a songwriting skill that I'm sure you will get in time."
Yep, live and learn.
Great to see and hear you back on the forum .

Hi Chay
Thank you for your kind words. I had to look up the UK's 1969 Bath Blues Festival, Saturday 28 June 1969 .Wow what a line up!!! John Mayall (recently passed) always had top notch players. And as you say "the amazing Rory Gallagher" (gone too soon).
I have a burning question if you or anyone could answer. I see that 10 Years After played the 1969 Bath Blues Festival held in June 1969 and Woodstock held in August 1969. So my question is: Did they play "I'm going home" at Bath?????
Alvin Lee was my all time favourite guitarist (also gone too soon)
Sorry to take you down this rabbit hole.
Re Glastonbury . Friends have commented about it becoming overly corporate with all the inevitable negativity which that entails.

Thanks Marty.
I also "missed my ride" as I was only 14 (do the math) but I did totally immerse myself in the music and it did help me "find my truth".
Wishing you much inspiration and creativity in 2025 both audio and video which always brings so much joy and light into my dark little world and I thank you for it.

Hi J&B
Thankyou both for your lovely comments.
The song is overly long and wordy so I decided to add variety to the backing in an attempt to maintain interest. I have recieved some lovely comments from the lovely folks on this amazing forum but my partner always keeps my perspective. She hates it and calls it a dogs breakfast. Oh well, at least its a finished dogs breakfast which was my original aim.
Thanks again for taking the time and effort to listen and comment which means a great deal to me.

Good work weaving the different styles together. I really like the chorus; it's quite memorable. Tunemonger's comment about the lyrics is a good one.

A strident peace freak, folky, rock song. I enjoyed it. There's some sibilants stuff & possibly distortion in the vocal that could be dealt with & you bvox seem other roomy.
