Greetings,
I wanted to use a 69 chord at the end of a song, and I wasn't sure what text to use. I could not find a 69 chord in the chord progression builder, but it is listed in the chord substitutions and the chord picker and when I entered "C 6 9 enter", it played. I'm playing an A, D, G after a C Major7 on the piano. This is probably not PG Music's biggest concern, but I think it would be worth adding it to the chord progression builder.

Hi Steven. The X69 chord exists in BIAB's vocabulary... for example C69, D69, etc. It's interpretation is X6 with an added 9th. A couple of things to keep in mind are the following... 1) If "Natural arrangement" is active for the song, it is possible that BIAB will substitute a different chord for the 69 that you have entered. To stop this from happening, go into Song Settings and disable "Natural Arrangement" for the present song. (CTRL+N is the shortcut key to enter Song Settings.) 2) The availability of chords with Realtracks instruments depends on whether or not the musician who recorded the track, used that particular chord construction. For example, in pop music, a 69 chord is less likely to occur than in jazz music. This means that some 'pop' realtracks might not have the chord present. BIAB MIDI styles will have 69 chords present. If you are specifically after the notes A-D-G for a C69 chord, these by themselves do not uniquely indicate C69. The notes could also be part of an A7sus4 or a Dsus chord or even a G2 chord. To get these notes to play as a C chord variation, I would use Dsus/C as the C bass will give the C-chord relationship. A7sus4/C and G2/C would also be worth trying. Greetings Noel,
I'm playing "Bewitched" in C and the last two bars are a variation of the melody in AbMaj7, DbMaj7, CMaj7, and my A,D,G in the right hand no root (C69?) as a final shot. I would like to see the X69 in the Chord Progression Builder to see what notes BIAB is using for this chord. The one that I hear is good enough for my play along.
Thanks for your response I will try your suggestions, Dsus/C sounds like it could work. I won't play the C, but I guess the bass will. (I mute the BIAB piano, the piano is me)
