The vocals are verw well, especially in the chorusses.

Thanks Hans for your positive review of my tune smile Glad you liked the lyrics. I have made some fine-tuning on the mixing of the vocals, I'm not sure whether it worked out in your ears, but I can keep on improving things smile

Overall a well constructed song, enjoyed!

Thanks Dave for your pleasant comment smile I have made some adjustments in the vocal mixing, hopefully the lead vocal is now easier to understand.

Thanks Marty for all your nice words smile Always pleasure to read what you think of my creations. I have now raised the vocal or rather levelled it and carved more room for it, hopefully sounds better now.

Well, we can do our part to cure the worlds ills by making more meaningful music. Hi Janne.

I really enjoyed listening to this. I love the style you chose and the instruments you used. In addition, I loved the way you set-up and used the eagle metaphor in verse 1. Then there is that chorus...

Quote
I'm talking to myself
thinking what I should have said
fretting the past and the future
I'm living inside my head.
I could feel for your standpoint
but I'm proving my view instead
the wall of thoughts surrounds me
I'm living inside my head.

I'm guessing that just about 100% of adults on earth can relate to thinking about what should have been said and fretting about the past the future. As I see it, that's really skillful lyric writing.

Your work with Synth V is excellent. When I consider the facts that your first language is Finnish (a syllable-timed language), and that you create songs in English (a stress-timed language), you really do an exceptional job. I tip my metaphorical hat to you. As you would know, stress-timed languages require knowing about which syllables and words are slightly longer than other syllables and words. Moreover, to get Synth V to produce vocals that sound realistic, the correct placement of syllables/words not only relies on putting them on notes of suitable length but also notes that are suitably placed within the bar on the appropriate musical beats and between beats.

You've got a lot to be proud of with this song.

You also convinced me that I need NOA Hex! (You must have a heap of vocaloid voices.)

Happy new year to you smile
--Noel

Hi Janne,

I'm flattered to read you want to change everything in your song to please me and my ears. But have you read all the other posts on the song?
And it was a minor thing. The beat and the vocals made me write this to you. But the song itself is very good. Leave it as it is. I already am your fan ;-))

“Life's full of wonders” YES!

We can relate to the lyric and, like you, know very well the healing aspects of being in nature.
As well as the power of music (listening or performing.)

Excellent write, band and production.
In the bridge the synth sounds incredibly like Jakob Dylan! A good thing for us.

Now let’s go outside! 😊

Interesting song, both lyrically and in terms of the instrumentation.
Different, but in a good way, with melodies that are catchy.
I love the choruses and the bridges, but in the verses the vocals clash with the instruments, so I'd either go for a higher vocal range or turn up the faders (or EQ the problematic frequencies) for the instruments to give the vocals more space.
But it's a good song nonetheless.

Thanks ES for your kind comment smile The mix of instrumentation is mostly thanks to BIAB style it's based on, but good to hear that my additions didn't ruin the interesting sound.

Janne,

It's a great song to start off the new year with.
Synth V's vocals are also very smooth.
The melody is simple, but there are many elements of your characteristic that make this song even more exciting.
The lyrics are also great.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Many thanks Noel for your wonderful review of my song smile And thanks for the information about the Finnish/English language differences, I hadn't thought about it that way, I work by ear, trying to make words and syllables sound natural and it's a long learning process to train my ear. And what you told me helps me to pay attention to certain details even more.

Happy new year, I'll be waiting for your first song with NOA Hex smile

Thanks Janice and Bud for your kind and positive comment smile Interesting comment about Jakob Dylan, I have listened to The Wallflowers many years ago, I can spot some resemblance.

I just calculated that I spent an average of 5 hours a day outside in nature in January smile
