I just noticed I posted this one in the wrong forum (songwriting). Only Mario responded. I was confused only he did and no one else. When responding to him I saw my error. I not only can't find my words but I also act strange, I have to admit. I could have said it's because that forum was confusing me, or I was in a hurry, because the whole family have invited me because of my birthday, but maybe it is the result of getting older... But this was the original text of that post of mine:
A new year now and I just entered the 70's. That means I'm a grown up now, however some still call me a youngster... That's why I thought to make a song about finding words. As a funny story. Then a friend asked if it was a song about dementia. "No, of course not"! I replied. But I realized that you could think of that when hearing/seeing this song... But see/hear for yourself and stay on the positive side
Hans, happy birthday! Your song sounds great! Love your vocals and the harmonies really give them a lift. Great use of BiaB BGVs (I think), and the xylophone (?) is an inspired backing instrument. The fiddle and lead guitar also fit in nicely. Super job!

It's great to hear from you! Happy birthday and congrats on entering a new decade....one in which I'm confident you will produce a lot of new music! Hans, your voice is excellent here with no signs of wearing out! I encourage you to keep the musical spark going because it's the thread that links us to our youth! Even if it's just our minds hanging on to our younger years, that's what is most important because it will help us stay sharp and defy the inevitable entropy of our bodies! Your track is beautiful, and you did an excellent job in all aspects of the production!
Enjoyed the song and video, Hans. The lyrics made me smile and I especially liked your vocal. Happy birthday to you, I'll be hitting 70 myself in July.
Really good song, Hans, and so nicely balanced and produced. Great guitar solo, too.
Some favourite Waoist Adages: #1: Play on the Way. #13: Ask not for whom the flower blooms, it blooms for you. #58: Bring consciousness to it. #63: On the road to effortlessness, effort must be made. #92: Be Love Now, the rest will come on its own.
Hello Hans. Your beautiful lady may have made you lost for words but the words you have chosen for the song are perfect. It is a lovely song which I enjoyed. I always listen closely to your mixes and try to analyse what you have done. The double tracking of your vocals is effective as well as your instrument placement which creates width. I may have said this before that you would be a very good audio engineer for any young aspiring musicians in your part of the world.
Totally enjoyed this! Esp liked how your bkgd voice sometimes had a slight variation from the lead. Bridge was very creative and gave a nice rhythmic break from the driving feel of the track. And incidental use of the vibes/xylo as well as fiddle kept the ears “in the mix”. Congrats on retaining your youthful energy well into your “senior years”!

"I not only can't find my words but I also act strange" <-- welcome to the new old age. You KNOW i love this one, Hans. You sound so smooth as you search for your groove. Glad so many others are hearing the only Beatle who was married when they first appeared on Ed Sullivan in your singing. Ik ben blij dat zoveel anderen in jouw zang de enige Beatle horen die getrouwd was toen ze voor het eerst bij Ed Sullivan verschenen. Love listening in Dutch, but the only words I understand are Beatle and Ed Celllophane

Hello Hans Great song Starts with a top intro Well sung and mixed (nice stereo effects) The solo start at 2:19 is absolutely pro level Great job Hans Andi ;-)
I don't see this as dementia, just the brain freeze when one is around a lovely woman. I like the build into the chorus. It creates the right amount of excitement to match the lyrics. Happy Belated Birthday. I'm only in my 60s, but I'm sure my 70s will arrive sooner than I would expect them to.
Thanks a lot for listening/viewing my song and all your compliments. I also really appreciated the birthday wishes, although they didn't make me feel any younger... I hope this year brings a lot of -good- inspiration, especially here in the forum.

Hi Ron, you are always so kind when it comes to reviewing my songs! I can't find the words to thank you, but I do!

Hi Bob, Marty texted me via WhatsApp, telling me joyfully he wasn't the only one hearing touches of mr. Lennon! He read your post... And he knew I had my doubts about that compliment. Janice and Bud started calling me John, and now you too. My wife said she didn't hear him in my vocals. Then I 'forced' her to read your post, telling her you are a great musician, but still she wasn't convinced... The only thing I can do is saying "thank you, Bob"!

Age? I've been forgetting why I came into a room since I was in my 30's. Vic
Hi Vic, yes I bet you are not younger than me, but you don't know... Thanks for the compliments on the song, but I don't agree with your 'little nit'. The violin ended nicely there. Take another listen and you will hear it.

Hi Torrey, that new decade...(sigh), but maybe you're right in that I will produce more songs. Making and singing them is still a nice thing I love to do. The way you say it is so nice. Thanks for that. And I hope that soon all your physical discomfort will be completely behind you. Can we continue to enjoy our songs together!

Andy
Hi Andy, you know? It made me smile to read you smiled for the lyrics. Luckily no dementia... I wanted to start this year with a lighter song. Reading your story, I think I have succeeded.
This is brilliant!!! I love your creativity. The groove, the arrangement, the mix... everything was top-notch. And your vocals were outstanding. I thoroughly enjoyed myself as a followed your high definition lyric video. This is first-class music wrapped up in a first-class production.
