Clever song title once again - made me smile even before hearing the song. Okay, the story froze my smile, but only partially, because I still enjoyed your storytelling and creativity, and then the last part turned the title to 12-bars blues and I was smiling again smile

Pleasant arrangement works well with the classic blues chords. Dave is truly a heavenly messenger of blues, always there when you need him smile And you sing heartwrenchingly convincingly. This song is among the 11 best songs on your new album laugh

So I can really understand the lyrics.
Dave's guitar and your vocals are in perfect sync.
The chord progression is a little different from the usual blues chord progression, but I really feel the blues in this song.
Enjoyed my listen and watch a lot.

Best regards.

Thanks, Shigeki. It's probably a good idea for me to keep putting the lyrics on them. Even many English-only speakers have a hard time with my diction.

It always amazes me how I send Dave a file that is complete except for his guitar. He sends back a track that seems as if he was with the song from the start. Hey, come to think of it, so are you that kind of craftsman.

Marty, your unique vocals are terrific. Sounding great. And your bass lines are always top notch. You have a great touch and sense of what works for each song.

Great song, great arrangement, super presentation!

Alan
Thanks, Alan. Seems I play the bass thinking of melody and lyrics, which is really something a bass player shouldn't. Can't speak for Dave, but I bet there is nothing in his mind excpet that cool blue attitude when he plays.

Wow, thanks, Janne. You were right along with the story: happy, sad, then better for the experience. You may know my music more than anyone else I know. Man, I appreciate your support. Thanks so much.

Marty..it makes me think you got started by playing around with the cleverness of the title (12 bar blues/12 bar booze). Great imagery in the lyrics and I liked the growling in the vocal. Also liked how you ended it. Overall cool track.

Marty,

Wow! This is a terrific creation.
Such a clever title and accompanying lyrics.
Your bass playing and singing is first-class.
Dave's guitar playing is smoking hot.
And the production shines with brilliance.

You and Dave sure know how to make awesome blues music.

Everything to enkoy.
The voice, the bass, the guitar & the story with puns and twists...all ACE.
My single not would be the clicky kick drum but I know no one else will care so grain of sand rather than the expensive salt.

Cheers

THank you, Tom. You're right about the booze/blues thing. First there are chords, then melody, then words start filling in. I grab the ones that landed on the hooky part, then write the story around that.

Thanks so much, Noel. We sure do love playing together and always wish we lived closer.

Thank you for all your support, Scott.

I take everything you say as gospel, Ray. Seriously, man. Thanks.

Thanks, Charlie. We do have fun.
