"Missing You" is a song I've written for my Dad. He passed away on May 2022. Having not see him for a long time since he was living in the US and me living in Asia. The last time I saw him was 1985. When he passed away, I applied for a US visa to pay the last respect for him. Unfortunately, inspite of the completion of my documents, I was denied twice.
Out of that experience, I wrote this song "Missing You". I have chosen a faster tempo in order not to be so sad music.
Music: I based the tempo based on the BIAB samba style. Generating some of the ideas. Then edited and added some instruments on Reason. The guitar solos from the beginning up to the end was generated from BIAB solo, specifically PAT MARTINO solos.

I still regret not being able to see you. For many years when I had a chance I didn’t have the time to say hello. Now you’re gone, why do I miss you so?

Ditto what I wrote on "It's a Beautiful Day". PS: my father passed away a little over 20 years ago and although we didn't get on in life I've had 4 experiences of him since he died and all were amazingly positive.

I love this style and the song is great. Even if the subject is sad, it gives off a joyful and catchy side. We would like to hear more of your voice. Laurent
Nice backing tracks, and melody. Excellent Mix and Production. However, the upbeat feel of the song does not match the sentimentality of the lyrics, by choice I presume ...
