Hi All,

Here's something new from Joliz and I.

This is called Tuesday Weld & Steve McQueen.

In a weathered worn bus stop
Cast beneath the street lamps sheen
Flipping through every word and page
Of an old movie magazine

Oh the world was turning slow
You always loved the summer scene
We took a gamble on each other
Like Tuesday Weld and Steve McQueen

Well the neon spit and sputtered
As you lit your cigarette
I watched your face in the shadows
A vision I could not forget

And the night just slipped away
In the noise on 4th and Green
We were lost in the twilight
Like Tuesday Weld and Steve McQueen

So the years fly like the wind
Shifting high and shifting low
Now we drink to the heroes
Leather boots and picture shows

Was I cool and debonair
Were you something to be seen
In those black and white moments
Like Tuesday Weld and Steve McQueen
Like Tuesday Weld and Steve McQueen

What's better than Thalia Menninger and Frank Bullitt to star in a song by you two. This is wonderful is every way. Lyrics, melody, story, backing track and perfect vocal presentation in a mix good enough to hear you answer you own question (NO), Bob. Great stuff from you and Joliz.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Bob, Joliz, beautiful song and lovely performances. Love the upfront vocals against the acoustic guitars, that's a powerful sound. Also like the (uncredited?) pad you have playing beneath it all. Adds a shimmer to the arrangement that really works well. Super job!

Stunning. Joliz's voice reminds me of Joni Mitchell's. And you, Bob, are yourself - truly, in a class of your own. Such beautiful lyrics - how you write those is, for me, a mystery. Well done, both ... beautiful musical collaboration. Loved it.

Dang - if only I could write this good.

Bob, your lyrics are always among the very best on the forum. And you and Joliz are so good together

I think the two of you have a niche sound that's so amazing. I think this song would be a hit on any forum - or radio - or CD.

Listening to your music is like sitting in on a class at Berklee. And we get the lesson free of charge.

Wishing both of you the very best.

Alan

Ron,

Thanks so much. Joliz and I appreciate the kind review. Thanks also for pointing out that track - it's an electric guitar (3329). I added it to the track listing.

As I am a fan of Steve McQueen that I watched as a kid on TV in the series (Wanted: Dead or Alive) and other movies, it is with great pleasure that I listened to your song.

Great concept for basis of a song! Especially liked the production—those little “spoken” words in the middle of lines—great addition. Enjoyed my listen!

Hi, Bob.

Love it all - the words, the music, the harmony.

A short song to take you there and back again, this time seeing things a bit more wistfully.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Man, I must really be too young for this forum, I absolutely did NOT get what your song was about.
Someone is welding on Tuesday, and someone else is probably watching Steve McQueen on TV on the weekend.
Who would have thought that Tuesday Weld is a NAME of a person blush

Apart from that, you wrote a really nice duet, I like both of your vocals.
I would have preferred hearing harmonies instead of singing unisono, but the way it is now, it definitely works.
