Here's one that's been brewing since 2023 but was reinvigorated late last year with Rustyspoon's input.
BIAB data:
12 string finger picking 1030
Acoustic strumming 405
RealDrums RockHardLA^1
&
Organ 686.
Misha & I wrote the song with him singing choruses and me the verses.
I played bass, 12 string, 6 string electrics.
my parts were tracked in Reaper.
Mixed in Reaper.
This is a lyric video:
UPDATED to easier to read version
The track has been mastered but any & all suggestions will be file "for next time".
And away we go...

Absolutely brilliant. In every way. Lyrics, musical writing, rendition, production, video, and (of course) the message.

The lyrics, for me, carry it over the top, but the musical writing and the singing fit the song so well - to my ears, at least. Well done, both Misha and Ray. What an excellent, excellent song - and what a message.

Epic and oh-so-cool. Very high concept, not completely within my grasp, but that's on me. This is a perfect mashup of Ray and Misha styles, and precisely executed. Great playing, great vocals (with nice FX chains) and an electric mix. Certainly a worthy new entry in the Pygmy Beat catalog.

(Maybe it's an age thing, but those right-to-left scrolling lyrics were BLAZING by. That could be on me, too.)

Ray & Misha,

Holy smokes! What a great synopsis of what's going on in our troubled world.

Very creative and epic, Everything about this is fantastic. And what a mash-up of two great musical artists.

Best to both of you,

Alan

Nice to hear Misha's dulcet tones again.
I missed that sound.
Well done both.

All the injustices of this world summed up in one amazing song [Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]

Your two voices work really well together, you both have a different yet haunting quality.
Also a cool video, but I wouldn't exactly call it a “lyrics” video, because the horizontal scrolling part is really VERY hard to read.
But apart from that, the video is also well made.
Enjoyed my watch and listen!

Cannot be better said. Dudes!! I was thoroughly surprised and overwhelmingly ecstatic yesterday when I got the YT notification of this new post. At first I was thrilled that I had another Ray song to hear, but when I got there...MISHA! Oh yeah!! It was like someone gifting me a Rolls Royce and then adding in a driver and a lifetime supply of gas. (ha, bet ya neverheard that one in all the accolades you guys get.) You two are so perfect together. I love this even though it makes me wanna hate some peeps. Rustyspoon and RayC forever. That's the way to stamp out hate and selfishness.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Ray & Misha, what a fantastic piece of music.
Great vocals and lyrics.
Super groove.
This is an excellent song.

PS - FWIW I found those scrolling lyrics extremely distracting.

Amazing spooky rock with a clear 60s vibe to it. Re aliens, I've been seriously joking that all of the world's corrupt politicians - kakistocrats by definition - are really giant white shape-changing shrimp from the planet Shapchangpo! Just take one look at Bojo and I'm sure you'll se it! laugh

Thanks folks,
I've reworked the video to make the horizontal scrolling less painful.
Working with Misha is always a joy filled experience.
I'd written the song but couldn't make the chorus work melodically or lyrically.
I sent an MP3 to Misha and he responded with a draft chorus done with his laptop microphone while visiting relatives in eastern Europe.
What he sketched was EXACTLY what the song needed - grit, attitude and a more "all of history" perspective.
He knocked out the choruses as they came to him which was great because that gave me time to work them into the a dense mix.
This is about the 15th song we've collaborated on and each one goes through a process that is fun, fast and challenging but non threatening.

Having both you and Misha singing in the same song is a treat! I want more.

Fabulous lyrics. You are singing to my choir. "You speak in tongues forked and twisted." That is great.

Hi, Ray and Misha.

Sounds great - no suggestions for next time! smile

A cool blending of two different styles. Very effective.

B.D. nailed it with, "All the injustices of this world summed up in one amazing song ..."

Excellent team work with the lyric and vocals.
We saw and heard a great melding of Ray and Misha.

It is creative and thoughtful in all aspects.

Perfect for the vibe vocal performances by you both and instrumental performances by Ray.
Misha’s vocal sounds appropriately sinister in the choruses.
And the outro vocals were standout.

Excellent mix and a most appropriate choice of pix for the video.

No need to parse any further ... it is an excellent collab that we enjoyed listening to and watching.
