Superb singer, incredible songwriter, wonderful lyricist, absolutely brilliant "end product" ... you are the real deal. Here, for me at least, the lyrics take centre-stage (such detail and complex imagery, so well written - wish I could write like that) ... but every single aspect of the song is done to your usual high standard. Superb use of the real-tracks ... that guitar REALLY works, here. I always look forward to hearing your songs, because you never disappoint.

Very nice acoustic start and then excited waiting for the other instruments to join in. And that moment doesn't disappoint. Great arrangement, powerful drums, nicely mixed bass and the tin whistle adds nice canvas for the interesting story. Fine poetry once again, picturesque lines like "With a jacket worn at the seams/A bag full of stolen dreams". Enjoyable nicely raspy vocals. Your creative way of combining engaging stories and musical styles is admirable and when you add your unique singing, the bad guys of the world don't matter anymore, there is just your music that matters.

Hi, Bob.

Tasty guitar riffs are a nice counterpoint to your vocals.

A bit of an early Springsteen/Dylan vibe - I like it! smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Man! Bob, I have no idea how it is possible, but it seems you get better with each song you do. Excellent lyric and performance, and great production too.

Always a pleasure to listen to you, wonderful in every way!

There is a lot of cool attitude in the lyric, vocal and solo.
And the arrangement/production adds even more 'tude.

Janice said, "I can almost see the look on the guy’s face as she returns!"

As always you called in some great session players.
The funk guitar solo was standout and the tin whistle fit well.

Love it!

You create a cool atmosphere with your vocals alone and of course a lot of images in my head with your lyrics.
Even though your music is often not my favorite genre, I always look forward to your next song and I'm never disappointed.
Amazing!

Aside from your expert lyrics, I was drawn into the instruments---immediately with the panned guitars, and then when the rest of the band comes in---what a cool sound.

"I know all about Leather Lou, what he did and didn't do." Wow, that line sure puts the imagination in overdrive. This was different for you. It's good to get out of one's milieu sometimes. The guitar was too loud at times, that's an easy fix. (Well, time consuming, but not challenging.) Very cinematic piece, as your music often is.

REALLY, REALLY good.
My only nit is the level of the drop in lead licks...small beans really.
