Somehow I am not able to clear/erase a Utility Track (see screenshot). Can it be that the track is somwhere locked? Hi.
I just loaded the song from old.Artist Performance Set 11 and applied the _WINE.STY to recreate your setup.
When I right-clicked on Utility Track 1 that had "Backing vocals by Gus Reeves" and then selected "Track Actions | Erase Track", the track was cleared without any issue. I could not get the situation shown in your image. Have you tried regenerating and playing your song? The track label that seems to be stuck in place for you is usually applied immediately after regeneration, so regenerating the song might well clear it. If that doesn't work, "Options | Return to Factory Settings" (choose the MOST) option should fix things for you (although you'll probably lose your MIDI patch set-up on the utility tracks if you use the Return to Factory Settings option).
I don't know of a way to transfer your MIDI patch set-up from song to song. As you will have already discovered, BIAB defaults to "<no patch change>" when "File | New" selected.

P.S. For others who have the vocal synthesizer Synth V, and who read this, I notice that Artist Performance Set #17 has a Synth V vocaloid version of the song, too (using Hayden).

FWIW I have had the utility track freeze on me a number of times. A return to factory settings selecting the most option always solved the problem.
Note by freezing I mean I couldn't delete, change patches, or clear the track. It just played what was on the track and I couldn't do a thing about it until a return to factory settings. I have no idea what this happens.
OK, a random thought;
Why does toilet paper need a commercial? Who's not buying it?

I don't have that style so I can't duplicate your problem but Noel did and he had no problems. This could mean that you have a bad download and/or a corrupt file. If you downloaded that style/song you might DL it again. If not you may have to start completely over and see if that clears the problem

I have no idea what this happens. I second trying a return to factory settings - you can do this from the Options menu. If it asks to reset MOST or ALL, Most is probably fine.

Hi rockbandguy.
I'm guessing you are using the MGU file in "\bb\Songs and Lessons\Artist Performance Sets\Artist Performance Set 16 - Songs with Vocals volume 6" that uses the _INSTILL.STY style.
The two Realtracks on the Utility 1 and Utility 2 tracks are part of the style's collection of tracks that define this particular style. When tracks are part of the style, it is not possible to remove them. If you don't want them playing, you can: (a) mute them; (b) use Tack Settings to disable the track; (c) go into the style editor and remove them and save the modified style with a new name so that the original style remains intact.
While it is not possible to removes the tracks in a style easily, new Realtracks can be loaded on these tracks. Also, disabling the "Enable Realtrack" option in Track Settings will stop the tracks from regenerating.
The reason that the choir track in the previous songfile could be removed is because it is not part of the _WINE style that was used. This track was added during the making of the song.
