Just looking for suggestions as to which package I should get. The main thing I want is a good real drums package that does the utility/stems thing. Don't care about solos or vocals. Mainly for jazz, country, rock, blues.
Thanks!

Gold standard is UltraPak. Most Real Tracks for your money.
Seems you have registered on the forum 13 years ago. If you have an older version, they might do some kind of crossgrade.

Give Sales a call. One question I recommend you ask is if there is any difference in packages when you are talking ONLY about RealDrums. I thought, but cannot prove, that they are the same. It's the RealTracks that you pay more for in higher-priced packages.

The webpage link below compares RealTracks but not RealDrums.

Also here are prices for upgrades for any year 2023 or earlier.

If you find out the answer about the RealDrums, please post it here.

I always encourage folks to buy as far up the ladder as you can afford. If you are serious about making music, you won't regret buying a higher version.

Look at the packages on the website and see what they include for styles and real tracks and the real drum tracks. Buy what you need.

If you buy one of the lower versions and within the return period realize you should have gotten a higher version, a simple phone call to sales will get you the upgrade for the cost difference. That happened to me many years ago when I was first getting started. I bought the lower cost version and realized it didn't include the tracks I wanted. Three minutes later on the phone call to sales, I had the version I needed for a few dollars more.

You can find my music at:

Add nothing that adds nothing to the music.
You can make excuses or you can make progress but not both.

The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.

Herb, all good. Note that I did look at the charts and linked one, and was surprised to find no comparison of how many RealDrums there were in the different options. Since the OP mentioned the importance of drums, I mentioned I don't know the answer. I should also mention there aren't that many RealDrums with stems yet. I have about 160.

Thanks for the replies. I think I will give them a call. My version is 2018 and I can't remember which package I bought, probably a mid level one. There's a lot of info to try to digest on the site. I wish I could just simply compare what drops down on the 'best real styles' menu in each category (jazz, pop etc) comparing what I have now to each package. Matt - you said you had 160 drums with stems. That sounds pretty good. Which package is that and is that 160 styles or 160 total drum parts (each style having a few parts like snare, kick etc) and what is the main style? (jazz hopefully)

I don’t think there’s an easy answer to isolate where the RealDrums that have stems came from. I have, I think, everything they offer. But I’ll sort on the Stems column and see if anything gives the source(s). Of course version 2018 had zero.
