No matter what, this is so GOOD. I love that vocal, Tom, and I'm with ya on the aging voice. As long as you're having fun creating them, the fun comes out in the song. Such a good mix of instruments so well placed in the mix. It's so cool how your songs always seemed filled with fun roadtrips. Excellent song.

Great write, performance, production and arrangement. Including that dang AI guy. Ain't he something when he's sober? So glad you're a musician but if not, maybe be a carpenter, because you sure can nail 'em! This is a very enjoyable listen. Charlie Charlie you always make me laugh. Even when I’m sober. Thanks for that and the thoughtful comments.

I’ve been on the fence about synth voices, and I remember fooling around with an AI “voice converter” that takes any vocal and “applies” an AI voice. I’m not totally understanding what you did here, but this is SOOO convincing that you are compelling me to give it more time….all I can say is Wow! Of course, it’s a stellar composition and arrangement. Thanks for this “tutorial”!

Hey Tommy,
Man I love this song. Really great construction and fantastic production as usual.
The AI vocals are okay I guess, I mean they certainly are about as good as you can get with AI but to me AI is still AI.
You have one of my favorite voices around here and I love to hear you sing your own songs no matter what. To me you have a distinctive, growling Warren Zevon type sound to your vocals that grabs me right away and glues me to the song. It's magnetic. Once I start listening I can't stop. It's totally about the Tommy Ad vocals for me.
I would pay someone that knows how to program this stuff to come up with a synth voice that sounds like you but not like this guy and then have you replace it or let me replace it at my end.
Hope that doesn't sound rude man I'm just saying I really really like the sound of your voice in whatever shape that it's in, in it's natural form, because that's the magic for me.
Anyway I really liked it man and I hope you're doing great!!

Tom,
This is as good as it gets! This track should be a big inspiration to anyone here trying to produce music with BIAB! Your use of the AI voice is the best I've heard so far! I still imagine hearing you sing this though! I understand very well about the struggle of controlling an aging voice!
Take care! TB Thanks Torrey. I’m having fun learning new ways to be creative. I’m ok with not singing for now. But it doesn’t mean it won’t ever happen. Tom, if you hadn't said it was an AI vocal I would have sworn it was a real person singing - brilliant job on that. Great country toe tapper Super backing tracks Outstanding mix Thank you Mario. I always appreciate your thoughts.

Great song, the production is as good as it gets, and man, those vocals are REALLY good. Very, very well done, nothing not to like. 2 thumbs up ![[Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]](https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/images/icons/default/thumbs_up.gif) ![[Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]](https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/images/icons/default/thumbs_up.gif) PS: And if I should ever use this Suno thing for vocals (e.g. in my next song), I'll blame it all on you. It's all your fault! BDT, thanks for coming by. I see where you came over to the dark side. I really like what you’re doing with your music.

Wow,Wow,Wow!!! Such a talented production! It's amazing what the AI is doing today, almost scary, but beautiful. very well done.
Cheers
Mike B. Thanks Mike. Wow, another super track. Great song, great lyrics. Vocal was terrific. Are they really using a T-Pain effect in country vocals these days? I don't listen to contemporary music, so I don't know. Surprises me. You've really made headway with AI. Excellent work here!! Thanks for listening and for the kind words.

Tom,
This is a great modern country song. The vocals are so natural and human that it's hard to believe they're synth vocals. The accompanying pedal steel, electric guitar, and acoustic guitar you play are amazing. Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.
Shigeki Adachi Thanks for mentioning my parts. I’m glad with all the attention the voice is getting that you listened closely and commented on my parts. Stay well. What a great sound on that vocal. Great song too. No nits from me.
Vic Thanks Vic!

Love everything about this song - instrumentation, arrangement, mix, etc - plus the synth vocals and backing vocals are 1st class. SynthV voices are crap compared to what you're using,
Some favourite Waoist Adages: #1: Play on the Way. #13: Ask not for whom the flower blooms, it blooms for you. #58: Bring consciousness to it. #63: On the road to effortlessness, effort must be made. #92: Be Love Now, the rest will come on its own.

Hey Tom, thanks for your vulnerability with all of this. I think that's what has you excel as a songwriter too. I'm not going to get into much; but wanted to say how great I think this song is. I love it man. Remember this too. I feel this is a great example of how to use AI, personally. To give a voice to someone when they need it. The good news is, while we are getting better at using it, it will continue to get better for us to use as well. I personally can't wait. And I'm not. Btw, if this isn't a song already, it should be! you always make me laugh. Even when I’m sober. thanks for posting this my friend. great job!

Anyway I really liked it man and I hope you're doing great!! I had the same thought as you and put my voice through an Ai converter. It sounded even worse than the real one. As I mentioned before this doesn’t mean that I’m through singing forever it’s just a different way of doing things for now. I getting ready to post another song and stripped out the vocals and tried to sing it. Ouch, it was not good so I put everything back. We’ll see how it goes in the future but for now I’m going to continue with my experiments. Thanks for all your support over the years. I appreciate it.

I’m always happy to see your name pop up and to read your comments. I realize that Ai is controversial and isn’t for everyone but I feel like it is worth exploring as it will be hard to ignore. When it comes to the future it’s hard to go back. Another song idea? Stay well.

Excellent lyric -- you are so good with those true life narratives. Loved this line among many: “i’m sorry that I put you through my middle age mistakes”
Your steel and guitars … YES!
The singer sounds so much like Ronnie Bowman -- a good thing.
Great mix and excellent work melding the vocals with the BiaB wrecking crew.
Enjoyed it!

Hi Tom, I really thought it were your vocals I was listening to. And I wantede to say, "no matter what aging is doing to us, if you have a voice like this, keep on singing". But I haven't noticed you used AI. But you know what? I don't care. You made a really good song, nice rhythm and I really like that voice. I really enjoyed listening to it all!
