Hi All,

Here's a simple little folk song from us. This is called WATERPROOF.

Falling rain
Running down the morning
Waterproof
No sadness today

Dry your eyes
And see us through tomorrow
If you ever look back
Don’t ever look away

Falling rain
Filling up your garden
Waterproof
Running down your rain coat

See the lights
The city is on fire
Don’t you worry
The rain is coming in

Falling stars
On an autumn moon
Morning sun
Shining on your hair

Falling rain
Yeah, yeah
Waterproof
Falling rain
Waterproof
Yeah, yeah
Falling rain
Waterproof
Falling rain

Beautiful song, you created the perfect mood for the lyrics.
Starting with the chorus was a good arrangement choice, and with Joliz you found your own little gospel choir.
Enjoyed my listen!

That was lovely. That's what I refer to as a great driving song...goes with the scenery and keeps you relaxed.

Bob, you continue to crank out very listenable modern folk songs. They always paint a picture, tell a story and put the audience directly into your scenes of life. I’m not quite sure how manage to continually conjure up the magic but you do it so effortlessly. Another example of your unique talent.

Ooh, GREAT opening. Super song, Bob, and fabulously performed. The acoustic band is quite lovely. Are you SURE there are no played acoustic guitars in there? The illusion of a real acoustic band is perfect. You and Joliz are really making some musical magic on this forum, and I for one appreciate it.

Nice, peaceful, gentle..totally in synch with the lyric message…and the acoustic band handles so well…I esp liked the ending where you unisoned the two different phrases—very cool idea. Great work!

Making such wonderful music is never simple, unless one is as accomplished as you are at writing these songs, Bob. Joliz is such a wonderful addition to your vocal. Excellent (and not so simple) guitar, and the whole band is the best accompaniment. Very cool song idea. I like how you come up with an idea then fill it in with all the best ingredients.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Bob & Joliz,

Another classic - they just keep coming. How you always find the perfect words to tell your story iks so amazing. The pictures you paint are indelible to me. There's no need for me to try tp "analyze" your music ... it's far superior to my ability to grasp. I simply lean back and listen. And I'm always glad i did.

You and Joliz are a perfect match. Two exceptional talents creating three minutes of pure listening pleasure.

All the best to both of you.

Alan

Bob & Joliz,

Very atmospheric and relaxing song. Your voices work very well together. I think this is a first collaboration I've heard by you. So different (in a good way). Excellent "upfront" band. Clear mix and listens very well. Thank you for sharing.

Misha.

P.S. I am a big fan of early BLUE mics. I have an older Yeti Pro which is very versatile. Originally they are from my birth country: Baltic Latvian Universal Electronics.

That's three in a row tonight. First Misha with the talkbox, then Marty with banjo and horns, now Bob with a mandola. Loved it. I also think this is the best vocal collab with Joliz I've heard from you yet. Then the waterproof conceit to top it off. Great job, Bob!
