Sounds like a 70's soul classic, enjoyed the funky edge, the bass is a perfect fit and the rest of the band support also very well your solid vision. Pleasant lyrics, catchy melody and the chord progression is really enjoyable. Excellent vocals, I really like how those harmonies add to the mood, great work to get them work so sweetly. Apologies for bouncing this ... but we missed it and wanted to comment.
We like it ... the funk vibe works well with the nice arrangement, vocals and write.
And it's all wrapped in a mix that sets up a good soundstage on our monitors.

Beth, this is definitely not corny. In f act it is an excellent piece of music. Super vocal and harmonies. I loved that funk groove! Great backing band and mix. IMHO this is one of your best. PS - my muse thinks I'm amusing  I hope yours comes back quickly.
Back in my day the only time we started panic buying was when the bartender shouted "last call"!

There's a really nice flow to this song, Beth, plus I think if it was professionally produced it could be epic. I also like how it ends. With you all the way on the lyrics, though that's no surprise!

Good song, I like the arrangement, and really like your vocal, nice tone and phrasing. If I was producing this I would have the main vocal a little more upfront, but I read some of the other comments and no one else mentioned that, so what do I know?  Enjoyed this, well done.
