The search function didn't help me. I have 167 GB of the 2025 Ultrapak files that I have installed on my PC stored on an external HD. Is there any good reason to keep these since they can always be re-downloaded if needed from PG?

You've already "resolved" this via Simon and your cautious nature. But there is at least one more reason to at least save these files off on a USB drive or another drive or wherever and that is:
The day you need to reinstall a file, for whatever reason, may be a day or two or longer where you've lost your internet connection (e.g., service went down, modem/router got fried, PG is offline for some reason).
I'm not only cautious- I'm paranoid.

If you have disks or the hard drive.... I would think not.
I've always used the HD versions and install so it runs from that drive.
