I've got a gig this week with real musicians. No tracks.
About 50% of the tunes I use charts. I usually just print those out and arrange them in setlist order. That has worked fairly well.
The forecast for the gig is breezy- 15-20knots. Likely we'll be playing outside. That should move the paper around a bit. Perhaps use andIPAD for displaying the scores.
Don't know an IOS app that would easily allow me to create a setlist of pdf files in the order that I want them. Don't need anything fancy.
Perhaps some out there can suggest.
Thanks,

I use MobileSheetsPro (on Android), but it's also available for iPad. My colleagues who use iPads use iGigBook which was on iPad before MobileSheets. I know not which is better.
Outdoors with sun and a breeze I'm more likely to use a music stand and cloths pegs/pins or similar.

Thanks Gordon. I'll check them both out.
I Agree. I do prefer sheet music and a music stand. Some hold fasts might just do the trick. The sun is blazing here in the desert.

MobileSheetsPro and iGigBook are both solid options. A lot of musicians swear by iGigBook for setlists, and MobileSheetsPro is another great choice if you want flexibility (plus it works on Android too).
As for the wind and sun, totally get it. A good music stand and some clips or clothespins can really save you, especially outdoors.

I use Newzik for iPad...it's really for displaying notation files, but will display any PDF file. If multiple pages, there are nice options to turn the page, including a pedal, or head geatures, or even winking (right eye for firward, left for back).

I use ForScore on my iPad.
It has the ability to make separate set lists and easily reorder songs in each.
I use an AirTurn Duo 500 foot controller. This is the only Bluetooth foot controller I know that locks to one iPad when there are many present (other musicians, like in an orchestra).
I think these two - the ForScore app and AirTurn pedal - are probably the more expensive of your options.

ForScore is the app of choice for everyone I know. Lots of accessories including footpedals available.
I use the free Kindle app. Not as flexible as a dedicated app but it works fine for me. The $25 isn’t the issue, For the gigs I do and the way I organize sets, I’ve not felt the need. I do it on my Mac, then upload the results in .pdf via Kindle.

I use an AirTurn Duo 500 foot controller. This is the only Bluetooth foot controller I know that locks to one iPad when there are many present (other musicians, like in an orchestra). FWIW, I've recently started using a Quad 500 with MobileSheetsPro and am happy with it so far, except for the minor issue of the tablet thinking it must be a keyboard and not offering me on on-screen keyboard for annotations. There may be a fix for that ... I just haven't yet tried to find it, so far I just turn the AirTurn off for the duration.

Thanks all.
I do have a foot controller (Irig Blueboard - 4 pedals) I use with my backing tracks player (Anytune Pro) That works great for start, stop, loop on/off, next song, etc Some also use it for page turning.
We try to keep our arrangements to a single sheet for performance. So far we've been good at that.

Single sheet is the way to go as long as it is large enough to be readable. Avoids the foot pedal / page turns. I try to use size 5.0 for music, but if it spills onto an extra page, I'll go as low as 4.4.
I also have an iRig 2-button pedal in my bag in case the AirTurn fails. That works great too but is a tiny bit noisy in use. In big bands, that makes no difference. In church, it does.
I have on order a page turning device that will mount on my trumpet. Hope it works!

Let me see how it works first.
I also need to see how easily I can change it to another horn. I play as many as six instruments in a typical concert.

Found something that may work on Amazon. It’s called Sky Midier. No manual on line and the video is useless. I plan to strap it to my foot as hunting around for a pedal is my problem unless I take my shoe off. I play sitting most of the time. Sometimes it is just as easy to tap the screen if I have a few measures rest. I will type in “turn” on the spot so I don’t forget. I always use half page turns. If the sign is at the top of the last page I will use a page turn button at the DS.

I took a look at the product. The link is here. It seems that it needs to interface to a separate application, and is more focused on controlling MIDI effects with CC message. I agree that it's functions are not explained very well I watched the video. Yes, I found that more than a little challenging too . (The price was certainly reasonable for what it can deliver.)

Just received my Sky Midier and it connects via BT and usb and is charged via usb. MobileSheets has midi actions for page turning but I couldn’t get it to work with ForScore as that is set up for a regular page turner. It did recieve the midi but it didn’t respond to a midi cc command like it does by a page turner. It has several functions so it sends different cc 20 thru 24 messages over channel 1. You would then have to link those messages in your app or software manually or with midi learn. There doesn’t appear to be any editing app or I would have order another. I used MobileSheets so I can set up custom page turns or other backing track functions. It is very light and I am going to experiment attaching it via a Velcro strap to the bottom of my rt foot to eliminate having to look for it as I have to with my foot pedal. It is light so I attached it to a Velcro strap around my upper Rt leg. Easy to see and get at quickly.
