On the UI it would be very helpful to have a simple on/off button so that a metronome beat could be heard and manipulated at will for practice. This type feature is standard on all DAWs and notation playback software. The goal is to not have to dig through menus for this. For instance a metronome icon near the tempo number. Click on, click off. OR if not there by default, at least allow the user to put one on the cutom tab so they can create their own button. Thanks for considering this.

Something like this: That would be perfect. I'd also add that a simple on/off hotkey would be required. I previously suggested adding a metronome as a dedicated track in the mixer. This would add the benefit of being able to easily control metronome volume or use a particular VST (there are some people I know who are VERY particular about their metronome sound).

Super idea. Yes, i too like specific sounds. My favorite is drums sticks hit together. Very analog. 😉

A quick on/off metronome button would make practicing way easier. Having to dig through menus every time kinda kills the flow.
