Hi, Janice and Bud.

So that's why you're always biking and hiking - it's just to scout out locations. wink

Excellent video to a pro song. It's always nice to see the faces behind the music.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

The video was fantastic. IMHO if it was in black and white it might have fit the song better, but what do I know.
Loved it.

PS - I dyed my hair gray to look more mature - I doesn't help.
And one more thing, you guys down there have the accent, not us New Yorkers!
Ducking and running for cover!

Thanks Mario. We tried B&W and sepia but decided we didn’t want to give up the bamboo greenery and the colors of the cape she wears on two verses. We’ve done two precious vids in B&W so the temptation was strong. What? We have an accent? Surely you jest. 🤪

We really much appreciate your comments. Big time.

Janice, Bud, and Peter,
A 1920’s public domain sheet music find resulting in the re-birth of music with Janice's vocals and atmospheric lighting, the results are an extraordinary effort indeed. ꧁𓊈𒆜𝓟𝓻𝓸𒆜𓊉꧂

What a trip! Love the commitment to the old-school vibe. Janice is absolutely rocking the "ageless enchantress in the woods" look. And Peter, a glimpse of the Les Paul is always appreciated – it's like spotting a rock and roll unicorn.
Janice, your "play acting" (as Bud so modestly puts it!) is captivating. It makes a refreshing change from the rapid-fire edits that can sometimes feel like a visual caffeine overdose.
Seriously though, that swampy blues arrangement is fantastic. Taking a dark lyric from the 20s and giving it this new life? Brilliant. It's like the music crawled right out of the Mississippi Delta and into your iPhone.
Janice's vocals are incredibly convincing and those swampy woods totally sell the whole thing. Well done, all!"
Overall, I love the blend of old and new. You've taken a dusty piece of public domain history and breathed new life into it. I can see why you wanted to give this gem a new life. Remarkable stuff ! 💗 👋👋👋 💯 👍 🆗 ✔️✔️

- and Janice, don't reveal the hair-dye secret! 🤣

Excellent cinematography. It doesn't look like an amateur video at all. Those were some big bamboo stalks. That white bird (kind of looked like a heron or crane) seemed to be boogieing in the water to the music. I give the music production three thumbs up (I'll give you an extra hand) for all involved.

Hi J&B and Peter.

Wow this is so good!
I absolutely love what the three of you have accomplished.
And the iphone has done an amazing job with the video work.
I cannot begin to imagine how much collective effort went into this presentation.
From start to finish this is superb listening and superb viewing.
The production clarity is stunning.
First class music in every possible way smile

Nice song and video, and of course, a wonderful vocalist. What Janice wore reminded me of Dolly Parton's "Coat of Many Colors."

Y'all really have that style nailed to the wall.

I like how you grab these old PD tunes and infuse new life into them.

Very Linda Rondstadt level.

Stunning.

Great production too Bud.

Reading this makes the project more than worth the effort. Ronstadt level? Wow. Janice is as modest as they come and being mentioned with her is a treasure.

Thanks for all from us three!

This is an excellent tune Janice, Bud and Peter. Had a listen to it awhile back on Facebook and glad to come back to the forum to have another listen. Really cool vibe and feel to the song. Awesome vocal, harmonies, guitar and production. Well done...

Izzy, thanks so much from all three of us for such a gracious review. We were surprised at how few musicians had recorded it and could immediately picture some of the scenes for the lyric. My younger sister sends a big thank you to you also as my “play acting” began when we were children playing make believe. 😉
