Janice, Bud, and Peter, this is so fantastic I don't know where to start complimenting you on it.
Janice's vocal is, as always, outstanding.
Peter's guitar leads are outstanding, as always.
Bud's production skills could be used in Hollywood.
The video was fantastic. IMHO if it was in black and white it might have fit the song better, but what do I know.
Loved it.
PS - I dyed my hair gray to look more mature - I doesn't help.
And one more thing, you guys down there have the accent, not us New Yorkers!
Ducking and running for cover! Thanks Mario. We tried B&W and sepia but decided we didn’t want to give up the bamboo greenery and the colors of the cape she wears on two verses. A 1920’s public domain sheet music find resulting in the re-birth of music with Janice's vocals and atmospheric lighting, the results are an extraordinary effort indeed. ꧁𓊈𒆜𝓟𝓻𝓸𒆜𓊉꧂
What a trip! Love the commitment to the old-school vibe. Janice is absolutely rocking the "ageless enchantress in the woods" look. And Peter, a glimpse of the Les Paul is always appreciated – it's like spotting a rock and roll unicorn.
Janice, your "play acting" (as Bud so modestly puts it!) is captivating. It makes a refreshing change from the rapid-fire edits that can sometimes feel like a visual caffeine overdose.
Seriously though, that swampy blues arrangement is fantastic. Taking a dark lyric from the 20s and giving it this new life? Brilliant. It's like the music crawled right out of the Mississippi Delta and into your iPhone.
Janice's vocals are incredibly convincing and those swampy woods totally sell the whole thing. Well done, all!"
Overall, I love the blend of old and new. You've taken a dusty piece of public domain history and breathed new life into it. I can see why you wanted to give this gem a new life. Remarkable stuff ! 💗 👋👋👋 💯 👍 🆗 ✔️✔️

Excellent cinematography. It doesn't look like an amateur video at all. Those were some big bamboo stalks. That white bird (kind of looked like a heron or crane) seemed to be boogieing in the water to the music. I give the music production three thumbs up (I'll give you an extra hand) for all involved.

Oh Janice, I just love your soulful singing. So refreshing to hear so good old rhythm & blues! Best song here for a while meeting my taste. This is outstanding
The vocal is off the charts and Peter's guitar work is legendary.
As I was listening it occurred to me that I don't think I have heard a current female Nashville country star ever put in the bleachers quite like Janice just did. Row 65 Triple Z.
