Hi Christian! A wonderfully relaxing instrumental - full of sound images that are wistful, melancholy and reflective. I sat back with my eyes shut while listening, and gave me the feeling of being in Autumn, chill on the air, but warmth of the sun peeking through, alone with a coffee in hand (containing a dash of Bailey’s), and looking out through a window.
I really appreciated the different instruments taking the lead in turn to provide variations in texture, and I don’t mind that strummed banjo off on the side either!
Playing it again!

Really, really nice track. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
The only thing I'd do differently--I'd switch out the banjo for something with less of a sharp edge to it, but that's just my preference.
Your posting led me to look up T. Foujita, an artist I'd never heard of--I really like his Japanese touch to French painting.
It also reminded me of an interesting story about a song derived from a painting. The famous Italian song "Volare" was a take on a Chagall painting--you could look up the story.
I'm glad I stopped in to listen!

Chris, very pretty composition, nicely arranged. Like your use of BiaB instruments and the simple lead piano. Very nicely mixed, too.

Christian, you should look at more paintings and record instrumentals for the inspiration you got from them.
