Has anyone taken a famous singer and imported the vocal into a reimagined song/style into Biab 2025? Is it even possible? How did it turn out and is it possible to hear a snippet?

If so, DM me and I’ll give you my email if worried about CR.

Thanks,

Track

With the AI tools out there? Of course it's possible.

I don't understand why anyone wants to do this without permission other than to commit fraud. I like the South Park approach. This is funny and parody is normally protected (but not always).

ALL CELEBRITY VOICES ARE IMPERSONATED.....POORLY.

There are valid reasons to match voices in a work as I found out when the lead singer on a recent album project passed away before we were done. I wrote about that already in other threads.

Otherwise, "famous singer"s have more rights than you do in this regards, Understanding Voice Cloning: The Laws and Your Rights

It is entirely possible with Dreamtonics Vocoflex program, but here is the big thing you need to be aware of. In order to even get the software activated, you have to register with an Identifier such as a Passport or Driver’s License and a working phone number. Any recordings that you make using the software are then given a digital fingerprint that ties the voice cloning to your software. If at anytime someone wants to sue you for misappropriating a famous singer’s voice, or fraudulently using a famous voice, they know who to come after. I have had some fun recently reviving the voice of man who used to be the singer in a band I played in back in the 70’s. He passed away during the COVID pandemic, and I had a song that had been specifically designed for his voice and never recorded. I was able to bring him back to life, so to speak, and the results were convincing.

I won’t make any judgements about why you want to do something, because we all have our own ability to judge if something is ethical or legal. Just be aware that the industry has set up guardrails to make sure if you misuse the software you will pay the consequences.

You're half right. Dreamtonics was one of the first to do a credible job and are trying to do it right—but that was so eight months ago.

Unfortunately, a number of bad actors have since entered the field.

No, I was just interested if it could be done. I'm not trying to impede on someone else's copyright.

I know how hard it is to write a song and all of the sweat and tears that takes. I guess asking for a snippet was the wrong thing to ask for. I was curious how well the vocal held up with the style/RT's in BIAB. That's all I was interested in, nothing nefarious.

Thanks for the advice,

Trax
