I want to get the 2025 UltraPak
considering I now have a working copy of 2024 Band in a Box for Mac installed o my Mac
I’d like to plug the ultrapak into one of the ports double click on set up and
Once clicking ok on all the prompts and entering passwords where need
have everything just install like I can on windows
Is this possible If not, what are the steps I need to follow

Is this possible If not, what are the steps I need to follow The download will install over the top of your installed copy. Unless you are upgrading to Audiophile, I see no reason to get physical media, BIAB 2025 Mac upgrades. The media being shipped is on a flash drive—too slow to run the app from that external, IMO (much slower than the USB 3 HHDs of the past). If pressed for driver space, you can install RealTracks and Drums onto an external SSD — which to get depends on your Mac. It’s easy to set up and let the Install Manager app know where everything is.

Is this possible If not, what are the steps I need to follow That is indeed possible! Just be sure to select either the Hard Drive or SSD backup copy during checkout. The download will install over the top of your installed copy. That is correct. Unless you are upgrading to Audiophile, I see no reason to get physical media In Mike's case I agree, as long as he has significantly more than 205gb available on his internal storage AND has a fast and reliable internet connection. As a general recommendation though I disagree, as Apple has decided to outfit their least expensive computers with only 256gb of storage, and an UltraPAK would take up nearly all of the available space on a brand new machine with no other apps or user data. Our tech support team spends a lot of time helping customers wrangle disk space - this is why we offer the option of physical media, as BB alone would consume 80% of the base model's 256gb drive and requires even more space for the downloads. The media being shipped is on a flash drive—too slow to run the app from that external, IMO (much slower than the USB 3 HHDs of the past). That is incorrect - the UltraPAK can be shipped on either an external hard drive or an external SSD, both of which use USB 3 or higher and can transfer at over 100mb/sec. The hard drive is more than fast enough to run BIAB directly from it, and the SSD is even faster. If pressed for driver space, you can install RealTracks and Drums onto an external SSD — which to get depends on your Mac. It’s easy to set up and let the Install Manager app know where everything is. That is correct - since it was introduced, our one-click Download and Install Manager app has vastly increased customer satisfaction and drastically reduced the amount of tech support calls.
