Hello?
This song was written one early fall day after I was discharged from the military,
while waiting for someone in the bus parking lot and watching a bus pass by.

While I was organizing my storage room on a hot day, I found a microphone I'd forgotten about,
so I mustered up the courage to record. It's been over 10 years since I last sang, but even I find it difficult to listen to.
Any help with the music, whether it be comments, singing, arranging, etc. is greatly appreciated.
The song below is the English version using the synthesizer V.

Outside the window passing is a reflected shadow. My little little voice- Oh- Please don't say goodbye
Inside the weary memories is my silhouette left alone. With bright sorrow my dear- Oh- Please don't say goodbye
On a windy cold street are only (only) drooping neon lights I will never turn around- Even though you leave
I love you (so) only you- You will never be forgotten.I love you (so) only you- You will never be forgotten

Great work...I really liked the Korean version, with you voice, much more than the Synth V English version. Having done dual-language work I can say that only in very rare situations can you make the lyric work word-for-word in the other language. To get a good result you sometimes have to start with the idea, then re-mold the words so that they fit, make sense, and lay correctly against the melody.

Here's an example from your song:
Your "hook" line ends in "You will never be forgotten", but I think a better line--with the same sense--would be "And so I'll never forget you" or "That's why I'll never forget you".

In contrast, your original-language song sounded so nature and smooth, and the english subtitles helps the english listener to understand.. Plus, your voice sounded perfectly fine, maybe too much effect on it.

I would encourage you to:
1) Always post the original language version, with your vocal (or, if it's too difficult, maybe a Synth in Korean?)
2) Keep including the English subtitles
3) Think about maybe working with an English-speaking lyricist who can create a smooth, singable lyric in English that preserves your intent.

Excellent composition, and great post!

This is a lovely song, arrangement and production. I actually prefer the version with you singing, the vocals could be louder. As others know I'm not a fan of SynthV.

Hi Asom!
I agree with Tom and Chay - your original Korean version sounds much more natural in terms of singing, and hearing your voice elevates this song well above the standard of your other songs. I am a firm believer in songwriters using their own voice, no matter how flawed they think it might be, or how bashful they are. I think your singing voice is fine - probably preferring it mixed central rather than to the left - but very authentic nonetheless.
Love the sax throughout the song.
Andrew
PS It’s good to see you contributing to comments in other threads - you have a rich songwriting history and would have a lot of insights I would think.

aSom, like others I much prefer your vocal over the synth vocal. You have a good voice so don't hide it in the mix. Like others I think you make the vocal louder. A fantastic intro and instrumentation.
Sounds great.
