I have been using BIAB without issue since I first purchased it last year. All of a sudden today when using the DAW to generate tracks for my Cubase projects, the drum tracks stop early. In the attached images, you'll see in Cubase the drum tracks stop early (around the 36th bar), yet the chords shown in BIAB don't explicitly stop the drums (or anything for that matter). No matter how many times I generate or if I change styles, the drums still stop at the same time.
I tried about 5 different styles. Mainly the medium rock and ballads. Restarting BIAB and Cubase didn't help but a full system restart seemed to have fixed the issue. If it occurs again, I'll comment on this again with exactly what style(s) caused the issue and more details.
If you have some examples of what the names of the styles were (preferably in the _NAME.STY format), that would be most helpful if you do end up having this issue again! You also mentioned that it stopped early, were you using a doubletime setting at all on those drums?
It just happened again. I'm using the Style _HAYSTAX.STY. Attached is a screen shot showing everything generated fine aside from the drums. I freshly opened Cubase. I'm sure a restart will resolve the issue but thought I'd post it here as soon as it happened. I'm using version 2023 (1013).
Sorry to see so little feedback to this thread. Not a surprise since there is only a few who continue to support this program. But where are they?
I tried to confirm using the BIAB Standalone VST - I got no sound at all. Then I opened Reaper and the BIAB-VST. Loaded the demo from the style you indicated and transfered all rendered tracks to the DAW. The single drum track played thru the entire song so I could not confirm your reported issue. However, there was something wrong with the drum sounds. I muted ALL tracks and instead of silence, drums continued to play from the VST. But these were not similar to the style. I was unable to identify where the drums were coming from since all tracks in the VST were muted along with all audio tracks in the DAW. By the way, to the best of my recollection, what you are reporting has been seen frequently in the past in the developer forums.
Do the drums stop with an end fill? I have a similar problem. Up to now I suspect a problem with migrating BIAB standalone songs into the VST, but i can't offer a solution. I am experienced in the standalone version and currently trying to use my biab songs in the VST. But I have also some more problems with the VST. For example hanging module after leaving the song settings...
Regarding 36th bar: I suspect it could come from the default new song settings. I think it's song length is 32 bars, plus 4 bar ending... maybe...
I thought maybe to post next days a link here to my song, just to check, if other users are having the same problems with it.
I'm using now FL Studio newest version and also BIAB newest version, but song was made with biab 2020.
Best to create you own separate thread for your reported issue. You should still be able to do that if you copy your posting to a new tread and delete this one. And yes, provide your song file for others to verify.
I don't think so. I refer to the stop of the drums after bar 32, while all other instruments are still going on as normal. Sounds very similar to me like the problem in this thread. I just want to bring in some other aspects that may be helpful for this issue.
FYI - I have both that and having the drum track to further than the rest of the tracks when I bring them into my DAW, Studio One Pro. The cause of both problems was the fact that the time signatures were not identical from BiaB to my DAW. I don't know if that is your problem or not but I thought that I should bring it up. Good luck.

I thank you for your suggestion, but in my case: definitly not. Tempo was synchronized. Now I have tried a second song, that I had once made on the standalone BIAB 2020 version in the FL Studio VST and I also installed Reaper, and used the BIAB VST there: same behavior. After bar 32 there is an end end drum fill, but all other instruments are going on as normal. I am using a lot of manual grove changes in the chord sheet and also style mix or changes of the drum sets. I am still guessing, that this is, what the VST version can not handle.
I have reseted in the second song and the Reaper BIAB VST from the bar settings all bars: now the drums dont end after bar 32, but the song isnt the same anymore. This might be some kind of workaround, but not a solution. As assumed, it still seems to be a compatiblity problem.
From my experience, multistyles seem to work best when used directly inside Band-in-a-Box. It might be helpful to let users know that they are not always reliable in RealBand or in the VST plugin. Otherwise, some issues may occur, such as the multistyle not applying correctly, or situations like the drums playing only in the first chorus. Sharing this information could save users some confusion and time. And of course, there is always the good old method of exporting WAV files from Band-in-a-Box once the song is ready.
I agree, that pg-music should mention somewhere, that there are compatibility problems with the usage of standalone-made SGU in the VST regarding bar settings in song. But in my case not the choruses were the problem, because I have not used them in the two songs, because the song structures were to complex. It seems to be enough to have a combination of groove changes and/or drum changes and/or usage of instruments from other styles to let the VST struggle and then all functions, that have something to do with the SGU generation or the checking of it, are reacting very buggy.
