Hi,
I've had this before, with a previous version, and I couldn't fix it...
When I have Loop entire song enabled, on hitting play, BIAB adds the 2 bar count in, then plays through all "x" number of choruses highlighting the current bar. All good for the first play through, but on the next (and subsequent) loops, it plays the count-in again, but highlights bar 1 and shifts including the count-in, so with every loop it ends up displaying the current bar as being 2 bars further ahead. Can I somehow stop this, so it starts the highlighting from bar 1, not during the count-in?

What version of BIAB do you have now (how old)? Look in Help, About.
Try Options, Return to Factory Settings, Most. Then restart BIAB.
Try a different setting in the Count-In/Metronome Options to test.
Let us know if that helps.

Hi, thanks for the quick response.
The version is as follows:
Band-in-a-Box® for Windows
Version 2025 (1128)
64 bit application
Returning to factory settings made no difference, but I tried something else, and actually solved it.
The file I was using was created with an older version of BIAB (2022), so I copied the chords to a new .SGU, and now the bar highlight is synchronized with the playback, so that's an adequate solution.
Not sure what would have caused it, and I have a few hundred .SGUs that were made with BIAB 2022, so if there's a better solution it would be helpful.

I'm glad you solved the immediate problem but I too am not sure about the ongoing solution.. Yes, if it's a corrupt song file, you can always copy the chords to a new file, but that problem is very rare in my 30 years on this forum (25 here, and 5 more on the earlier forum).
Please test a few other of your 2022 files and see if it's just that one file. If you can duplicate the problem with a couple of other songs, please let us know so we can alert the developers to a possible bug. I'm only a fellow user but I know how to make sure the company knows. I'm sure they will give you directions to send a few files to them for testing, unless they have some other fix I don't know about..

Yes if you continue to have issues with some of the older song files d o please let us know. Usually when the black highlight bar is out of sync it's because of Audio or MIDI settings not being set appropriately, but having it only occur on some songs would be odd and warrant a closer look. If you find this is still happening feel free to send us a copy of one of these SGU/MGU files with the tracks frozen and we can take a look.
