Loved it.
The more you play in a song the more directly it communicates...hearts on a string line.

Poetry to my ears. (like, really...there is poetry weaved throughout your comments... smile smile smile )

The first few bars reminded me of Larry Gatlin (Gatlin Bros for those younger wink.

I love this ballad and I'm a sucker for beautiful Piano work.

Excellent arrangement all around, IMO.

Loved this.

The piano in this is sublime as is the guitar solo both working so well with the band.
That is much appreciated..

Most excellent piece of songwriting. I always felt that Jane Siberry's Love is Everything was the most longingly beautiful song ever, but this is definitely up there.
What a very nice thing to say....

One thing I can say for sure though is that, yes, Floyd, I think of you often (as the song asks), and I think you are one of the best songwriters and singers I know <--there I go again with all that pretense.

And now you are also climbing the ranks of pianists and guitarists.
Appreciated! I've added a couple of new instruments to the list as well wink

No need for any further comment on this outstanding song, but when I play it for others I'll say, "Hey, here's the newest one my friend sent me."
Thank you, my friend.

Hello Floyd,

Beautiful melody, beautiful singing, and oh, all those painful memories...
But that's what love can do.
And you're one of the best interpreters of it!

This is nice to hear...

And, although you did not mention singing as one of your favorite pastimes, it sure brings pleasure to us.
Funny, I don't ever really Think about singing. Just something I have always done. I'm always surprised that someone might actually Like hearing me sing...

The production is top bar in all aspects.
Thanks!

Your recent guitar, piano and bass journeys remind us of one of our favorite quotes about the joys of cycling.
It speaks to the deep joy that comes from challenges, improvement and the sense of accomplishment.
And that without those we might as well be playing tiddlywinks. smile

We feel your joy!

Loved it!

J&B
I'm considering getting a set of tiddlywinks. I could play those!!!!

The band is simple, but there is everything needed to elevate this song high above throwaway music. Enjoyed the piano, the bass, the picking guitar, cello, mallets, solo... great airy mix.
Much appreciated....

This song combines all of your songwriting, playing, mixing and singing highlights into one song. You are the superstar of this forum, even though you should be on a world tour with sold-out arenas.

In any case, an impressive performance, Floyd.

Love this Floyd. Super vocal and lyric. Your productions are so good. You and Bud inspired me to start taking some online courses in Production, Mixing and Mastering. After a couple of years of study slowly starting to get better at a very deep process. Well done
