Hi all,
I'm hoping someone may be able to assist with this, it's driving me nuts. I have a simple chord progression in the middle of a longish song, waltz time, 3 bars C, one bar G7, one bar C, repeated (typed in) for a total of 16 bars. It won't resolve to C at all.
I've tried deleting those bars and retyping, regenerating the song, anything I can think of but nothing works. Sometimes it plays the C chord but with G bass, sometimes it will resolve each 8 bars. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

...Sometimes it plays the C chord but with G bass..., I've asked multiple times for the option to specify C/C, but it's not allowed. I have no idea why.

Andy,
What I do in situations like this is to open the Audio Edit window and copy a C bass note from somewhere else in the bass line and then paste it in the problem area. I then freeze the bass track that my modification is not lost when the song is regenerated.

Thanks Noel,
I'll give that a try. I ended up retyping the whole thing and ir seemed to work ok, one issue I find is that you can play it through but when you save/render as a wav file sometimes bugs appear there as well.
It's a great program, until it isn't. The worst thing I find is not knowing why things muck up, there's no way to try and fix things if you don't know where to start.

Hi Andy, I run BIAB in Windows. In the PC version of the program, it is possible to select a bar or a range of bars and regenerate and instrument for just those bars. To do this... 1) Select the bar(s) on the chordsheet (#1 on the image below) and press ALT+F8. Instead of pressing ALT+F8, it's possible to right-click on a track in the mixer and select 'Track Actions' and then 'Regenerate Window'. I'm not sure, but I think that ALT+F8 is Option+F8 on Macs 2) Select the instrument that you want to partially regenerate (#2). 3) Click on "Regenerate". When you have obtained a regeneration that you are happy with, make sure to freeze the track to preserve it, Freezing will stop it being overwritten if you regenerate the song. ![[Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]](https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=download&Number=31301&filename=regenerate bars - alt F8.jpg) P.S. When you generate a song, and you like the generation, I suggest that you freeze all the tracks before you save the tracks to audio files. The will make sure that nothing changes.
