Far Away Places

We all have been there and done this. At a boring meeting or class, semi-watching TV, listening to your spouse, etc. you start to daydream. Your mind wonders far away from where it should be, hence the title.

BiaB style = Long Night MIDI 12-8 Folk Ballad
Tempo - 60 BPM
I deleted the drums

From Instachord the intro track - Deepflight sound source - preset Bells and Tubes
Bass - Ample Bass - Upright
Piano - EZKeys2 - Dream Machine - preset - MK VII Dreams
Guitar - Kontakt - Picked Nylon
Strings - Kontakt - Amadeus Full String Orchestra and Solid State Orchestra

I am playing the lead guitar and via my breath controller the Swam Bansuri and the Fantasy Orchestra'a Vocal

As always all comments are welcomed.

Back in my day the only time we started panic buying was when the bartender shouted "last call"!

Very dreamy, an almost classic song.
I like the ethereal voice and the overall mood.

Definitely one of my favourites of yours. There are some really magical touches in the arrangement. Love the bass, the guitar work and the bansuri. The vox added a feeling-vibe to it which makes it sound a little like one of multi-instrumentalist Medwyn Goodall's more dreamy pieces. This was a great daydream for a quiet Sunday.

Mario,

Absolutely beautiful music... Your guitar playing in combination with the other instruments is magical.

Truly a new favorite for me as well.

Hello Mario,
Great orchestral sound.
It's relaxing to listen to.
Especially when the guitar kicks in, it's perfect.
You're a real specialist when it comes to this music.
Very good work.

Man, does that ever fit your described feeling.
Just drifting and drifting.

Your performances and the entire band are great.
Gotta admit that "Bansuri" sent me to google. smile

Enjoyed it!

Marion, uber cool ambient piece. You've got a great ear for this stuff! Never would have guess this had BiaB origins, which just goes to show you how little I know. SUPER composition and sweetly nuanced playing throughout. Love the guitar tone you've got here. Also love where the MIDI bass is playing in the upper register. Anyway...FABULOUS job!

Hi Mario!
Very relaxing! You’re certainly getting a lot out of your investment in Fantasy Orchestra. It was so relaxing, my mind wandered while listening! Mission accomplished I reckon!

I had to laugh at one of your examples … ‘listening to your spouse’ … or not.

I now know where to go to remove the stresses of life : Paradise Beach, Phantasy Island and Far Away Places.

Very pretty, Mario. Your concept came to a very true fruition - it's very dreamy. You had such a wonderful touch on the guitar track.

I thought I heard a harp, but I don't see one annotated. Was that part of the Kontact string - plug-in? Regardless, it was a perfect choice.

Very pretty!

Very skillful and professional sounding piece of beauty. Classic music can be boring, but never boring in your hands - always gentle and subtle taking me to
daydreaming and places of harmony and peace. Instruments become living beings and they build a web of an alternative reality. I can sense how the guitar notes are twinkles of a firefly, the bass soft steps of a tiny panda and the ornaments of the bansuri are short flights of a cheerful bumblebee. Thanks for this magical mystery tour smile

Thanx so much Chay. I had never heard of Medwym Goodall so I looked him up. I was very impressed with his music so I will have to purchase some it. Have you every heard of David Arkinstone? He is one of my favorites.
I'm glad you liked my little song.

Thanx Ron. The guitar is a Casio MG-510 strat MIDI guitar controller. I was using the guitar's neck pickup and I recorded it directly into my DAW. Thanx for mentioning the guitar's tone. That bass is directly from BiaB. I'm glad that you liked it.
