Rob, that is some fantastic harp chops!
Super backing tracks and mix.
Short but sweet!
Sounds great.

Great, light, joyful instrumental. Your harp playing really conjures the New Orleans vibe.

I don't know how you were able to record such a clean take with a Harmonica, but it came out perfect.

Enjoyed this !

Rob,
Two beats in and my calf muscles are getting a work-out from all the foot-tapping. Good backing band and a real joy to hear where you are taking the melody and the variety of tone (if that word is applicable) you demonstrate in your playing.
If I knew the chords, I'd play along on my acoustic.

Rob, fun song! Cool melodic journey, and you've got the wah DOWN. Too short though!

Love the backing band. We don't get enough tuba on this forum. smile

This is delightful! Your harmonica and the tuba sound great together.
We like how some of your licks sound like a muted trumpet - cool.

Janice said this gave her happy vibes for the day!

Excellent mix.

Well done and we much enjoyed it!

I love the harmonica, even though (unlike you) I suck badly at it.
Pretty good and your song brought a wide smile on my face.

Wah-wah on harmonica--loved it. The dixieland format is perfect for this. And, of course, the tuba instead of a string bass! I'm not sure what that riff was at the end of the bridge, like a downward slide, but very cool! Loved it!

Hi, Bob. Hey, do I call you Bob or Rob? I thought you once told me "Bob," but I see everyone calls you Rob. I never went for that Shakespeare thing about how "Rose" would be fine because there is so much more in a name. Speaking of names, --love the title on this one-- yesterday I went to your Soundclick page and it was the first time I noticed "The Harpbreak Kid." You are one clever dude, and, dang, you play a mean harp. Every tune on there is exceptional --the kind of music I listened to since the 50s when my uncle got me started. Yours is my new favorite channel on the Internet. Great stuff!!

Hi Rob,

A Dixie song with you on the harmonica. Very enjoyable song, but indeed, a bit short...
And I read about Marty's struggle how to call you. I always called you TM, but noticed people called you Rob, so that it is for me now.
And as I said; an enjoyable song!

Hans

very nice. Excellent choice of style.

I've heard it said that the harmonica is one of the easiest instruments to play..... not for me. But you sound like you have it well under control for the both of us.

Tuba and harmonica, refreshing combination smile Feel-Goodman swing, great playing & sweet chords & perfect backing band, I could listen for hours to this type of quality music just to get reminded that there's is much more outside my usual genres.
