Andrew,

Thanks - that's very kind. In terms of the phrasing, I just try to sing it like I hear it in my head. smile

Bob,

You know how to make words tell stories that no one else can. This is the best vocal I've heard from you in the 10+ years I've been here. This is, without doubt, my favorite from you - and that's saying something. Nice guitar work! Bob Dean is one of the best friends music could ever have.

Take care,

Alan

We really like the band and, man, that Esquire!
Your fills and solo were a perfect fit.

As we've said before "very Lucinda like and that is great."
(Down Where The Spirit Meets The Bone) is our favorite of hers.
We always think of your tunes.

The slow tempo and your smoky vocal had us spellbound on the train.

I love this:
“The dawn will find another town
And someone else’s sky
But I still see your shadow
Every time I close my eyes”

Enjoyed it!

Hi, Bob.

Man, does your talent know no limits?

Excellent guitar on top of all the usual excellence (words, phrasing, arranging, mixing, etc.).

It took me far away to another place and time. So good.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

I love the melancholic mood of this song, which is beautifully underscored by both your music and your vocals.

You guys are a song machine!!

Note on my posts: I listen to these wonderful and varied forum songs for pure enjoyment as part of my daily “radio,” in large chunks, while I am out and about. Then I post all my thoughts later, not on the spot. As I do not think the forum is a place for competitiveness, I will shy away from any critiques from now on. I come here for peace, fun and enjoyment only and have no self-absorbed opinions invested. I guess you might say I am a musical Buddhist. Thanks!
