Can I be allowed an exception from BB tunes -
this is just a very simple tune, kinda 'spiritual' I
think. Struggling with the old fingers.
I played the piano with some soft el guitars over
the top, another of my 'fall asleep' efforts:

Beautiful, Carl. Throughout my listen, I was seeing an ice skater dancing on the ice, all flowy and graceful. It's a song that deserves choreography.

Hi Carl!
Calm indeed! Beautiful. In fact, I think you should change your name to Calm Mogensen!
The change in section entering at 2:15 and 5:04 are very nice, and especially like the second chord in in those sections - did the progression go to a minor iv chord?
Again, beautiful.

This is a beautiful piece, Carl. I totally agree with Beth's comment!

Carl,

You chose the perfect title for this one. It is, indeed, calming. Your changes from piano to guitar are seamless - so smooth.

I think Beth hit the nail squarely on the head with her comments. Figure skating is visual grace - this song is audible grace. I've told you this before, but it earns a repeat - you have such a delicate touch on the strings. I've always admired your playing. You profoundly justify that characterization with this song.

Such a lovely listen.

Best to you,

Alan

Andrew, thanks very much for your nice comments -
some might wanna change my name to Asleep Mogensen?
Glad it sounded ok to you - the 2nd chord at those points
is a simple Gm chord, thanks for taking a listen!

Thanks so much Alan - your fine comments mean a lot,
glad my fingers can still reach your ears at this ripe old
age (77 in Dec!). Really hope all your legal hassles are
behind you so you can begin to find the peace you so
badly need, and deserve!

Carl

Carl, that was beautiful.

If you were struggling with your fingers, it didn’t show. As the title implies, it’s calming, and soothing. I just closed my eyes and let it wash all over me, really relaxing. I could put that on repeat and never get tired of it.

Excellent, kind regards.

Beth's ice skater is twirling beautifully in slow motion. Andrew is right about the suggested name change. Chay chimes in with an agreeable take. Alan's admiration is a special nod to your brilliance, Carl. Lee knows good sounding fingers when he hears them, and Bob's comment on your creative talent is shared by anyone who listens. You, on the other hand, stir all of those emotions and bring those accolades to life with your writing and execution. Another wonderful production.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Wow Marty, you just blew me away with your most generous summary of everyone's
comments - most sincere and heart felt thanks to you my friend, and to all you who
keep propping up this old muso! Without you these old fingers would have long
given up - BIG thanks again to all, Carl
