Smooth, perhaps too smooth for my taste. I'm glad there are 9ths & #5th to relieve the 7th heaven.
Who's singing?
Where are the lyrics?
A VERY cool mix.

Cheers

Thanks, yea the color does shift with extensions other than 7th's, except one, there is a dominant F#7 that is a must. I write in BiaB and then I use a virtual band to play and sing with, this one has the virtual voice I call Michael. Here are the words.

The wind held stories that traveled in the sky
We listened intently, but never reasoned why
The silence spoke quietly, almost like a cry
It didn’t bend the truth to make it into lies

It holds the echo, still and wide
It breathes what silence denied
It returns with nothing to hide

We stayed out late while the moon stood high
Told stories in shadows, let the stars reply
The ground held secrets we never disguised
It didn’t bend the truth to make it into lies

It holds the echo, still and wide
It breathes what silence denied
It returns with nothing to hide

[Instrumental Break]

A simple situation with memories and fun
Like walking on a lakeshore, trying not to run
The waves that join landscapes with super blue skies
It didn’t bend the truth to make it into lies

It holds the echo, still and wide
It breathes what silence denied
It returns with nothing to hide

Thanks again
Donny G

Cool Blue-Eyes sound. Wonderful band, well mixed. Lyrics are perfect for the genre.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Hi Donny!
Another good one. Thanks for posting the chord progression - I like to know what’s going on under the hood.

I’m intrigued by the connection between your lyrics and the song title. Is there one? I don’t mind mysterious lyrics where the listener can make up their own mind. Well done.

Hi Andrew, thanks for your comment and question. Well as I was writing this one, I had the title as a question, Who Knows? And then trying to write the verses stating that life is true when normal things are happening. Then as I was making the Clipchamp video it occurred to me that the lyrics I wrote was sort of a matter of fact and not a question. Hence the !, Who Knows! My feeble attempt to say that some people see truth in a walk by the beach. Those are the ones who know.

Donny, what an outstanding song. Super vocal much like the old Blue Eyes genre. Cool backing orchestra - brilliant. Nice Wes Montgomery guitar with a touch of Miles at the ending - again brilliant.
Loved it
