I am have a real bad time trying to generate style audio to work with a midi file that I have loaded. Working only with midi is all good but as soon as a try to generate a Band in a Box style I get freezing of RB.
I think this might be the way I am trying to do this as I am new to this type of operation.
I have loaded and audtioned my midi, set all the part markers etc. Then I try to select and generate a style and then it crashes. I have attached a screenshot of the frozen appliaction. There is yellow warning message but I don'r know what that is telling me..

Any help please.
If you open Windows Explorer and navigate to your F:\RealBand\Data\ folder, can you locate a file named VBA.BIN?
BIAB & RB2026 Win.(Audiophile), Windows 10 Pro & Windows 11, Cakewalk Bandlab, Izotope Prod.Bundle, Roland RD-1000, Synthogy Ivory, Session Keys Grand S & Electric R, Kontakt, Focusrite 18i20, KetronSD2, NS40M, Pioneer Active Monitors.
That was my first move. No such fiule exists on the entire F: wher Realband has always been installed.
Like I said, this message accompanied a crash of the application and may have been because I was doing something wrong, although I rather think RB would have warned me.
I had already opened a MIDI file in RB and the midi tracks were already populated as well as the chord sheet.. I then generated a RealTracks style which then resulted in this message and crash.
Next step: I would fully reinstall RealBand from the distribution.

Thank you. I've had to do that several times and I find RB a bit too fragile.
OK, then the next step is probably to contact PG Music support, give them as much information as possible, and reference this thread.

j check PG Tips forum re how I install RB-BB. The problem is there are a zillion PC configurations in the world. Om
my songs....mixed for good earbuds...(fyi..my vocs on all songs..) https://soundcloud.com/alfsongs (90 songs created useing bb/rb) (lots of tips of mine in pg tips forum.)
Sorry to revive an old issue but I have been struggling with a similar problem - RB 2026 freezes when I try to generate a RealTrack. In my case the issue started when I upgraded from BB 2022 to BB 2026.
I tried everything from reinstalling BB 2026 several times to updating all of the HW drivers on my PC but no luck.
What seems to have worked (and I hope permanently) is freeing up hard drive space on the drive where the file you are working on resides. For example, I have a hard drive dedicated to music called M: where all of my .SEQ files are saved. I freed up as much space as possible on drive M: and I’ve got about 70GB free space now.
After freeing up space, I am able to generate RealTracks.
As a precaution, I also moved my RBBackup folder to a different drive so as to preserve M: hard drive space. (see Options – Preferences – 3-File, “Save backups to a custom backup folder…”)
I can appreciate your frustration. Hopefully this helps.
In the preferences section of RB and in the Audio tab there is a setting for the "Audio Temp Directory". My RB and BIAB installation is on my I drive, but my Audio Temp Directory setting is C:\Users\1\AppData\Local\Temp\. Perhaps if you looked at your setting, you might want to experiment with yours and see if changing the temp directory to a drive with more space - and preferably a fast SSD - helps with your problem. Just a thought.
Have you loaded build 8 (that's just been released)? This might help. Also, after you have installed build 8, try running a Slow Rebuild (found in Stylepicker). Realband now has the rebuild options.
