BiaB live version
Suno Cover
Hello, so recently I was asked to give an example of my work process. Here are two files, the first is me busking, singing and playing lead with the BiaB band, see the BiaB Memo below. However, I had a vocal mishap, as we all do. I could stem it out and tweak it, but for grins I asked Suno to cover my song, including all of my guitar licks and vocal. So here is the comparison. Key of D.

[Verse 1]
I say I want you
You say nay nay
But then it's time for us to go out and play

[Verse 2]
I say I need you
You say no no
But then it's time for us to go home

[Chorus]
You can be my lover
You can be my friend girl
I'll be there in the very end
Right now I just wanna go home
With you

[Instrumental]
(Mmm)

[Chorus]
(Mmm) You can be my friend girl
I'll be there in the very end, yeah
Right now I just wanna go home
With you

[Verse 3]
You say you want me
I say okay
I think it's time for us to go play

(Thank you)

Thanks Donny!
I love reggae. I know it’s not a competition, but I prefer your vocal with BIAB - mainly because of your vocal. I can hear how Suno puts some polish on it though.

This post has been most helpful for me to understand your workflow, particularly aided by the BIAB song memo info you have posted. I’d encourage you to do that for future posts because it answers a lot of questions, and while not ‘required’ by the user guidelines, it is suggested and followed by most forum posters.

I think you are using Clipchamp for the video and its lyric detection? Had to laugh at how it ‘heard’ some of your lyrics.

A good song and good information.

Thanks Andrew, well the lyric detection errors are two-fold, when I upload the live busking BiaB song to Suno the lyric detects and writes out what it hears, not always correct. Secondly the Closed Caption part of Clipchamp then tries to hear the words and write them out. It never, ever gets it right. I fix both of them on songs for publishing, but for this exercise, I started to fix them and said, no let them hear what I deal with. It is also worth saying that this method is one of four that I use, this is when I use BiaB busking files. But there are three other ways of getting a good result, and I have an eventual goal of busking live with my Suno persona and my BiaB RT's. Thanks for listening.

Hi Donny.

This is a really interesting comparison. Thanks for posting the two versions. I've heard a few songs done with Suno but I haven't yet heard a direct comparison, until now. The Suno vocals certainly have a professional edge to them. That said, your vocals are excellent, too, and sell the song very, very well. Because I have not yet played around with Suno, it was good hear what you've done. I appreciate your time and effort to put this together.

I 100% agree with Andrew. I much prefer your voals to the AI, plus I feel there's more authenticity in the BiaB.

Some favourite Waoist Adages:
#1: Play on the Way.
#13: Ask not for whom the flower blooms, it blooms for you.
#58: Bring consciousness to it.
#63: On the road to effortlessness, effort must be made.
#92: Be Love Now, the rest will come on its own.

Thanks WoaBand, the truth being I love busking and playing live with the BiaB bands. I am not the best, not the worst, and playing live with the Jukebox part of BiaB has helped me bring the music for years. That being said, for the disk jockey sets, there is nothing like blending BiaB with A I, the sounds are equivalent to mastered songs. So, a completely different use of modern music. I have posted a song where I sing with the uploaded Biab/Suno version. That is where I am headed. Thank you for your comments, they mean a lot.
