This actually happened. A few nights ago, when I was at a party, a woman friend that I knew said she used to be pretty. That was after we had a discussion about maybe having a party and bringing pictures of when we were young. I thought that could be a song. So I wrote it and recorded it rather quickly... but I think it turned out good and the truth is, I still think she is pretty. It's a true song.
It's all band in the Box except for the Solo in the middle and a few guitar licks here and there.

Come divorce time, I was given a choice: 50% of the assets with a fight or 25% and the dog (the rescue documents were in her name) uncontested. I took the dog. She took a bit of the extra money and spent $80K-$100K on plastic surgery, trying to look like she was still in her 30s instead of north of 65. I never had a problem with the way she looked, just what was going on between her ears. I just lost that dog. He was 17. He loved life. He never complained. He was my best friend through thick and thin. There's no way to put a price on that. I miss him dearly.
