Hi, Jona. Cool tune! Love the build in the opening, the bouncing bass and the strong vocals. Super arrangement, too. The little vocal "whoos", "yeahs", etc sound very natural, which isn't always an easy effect to pull off. Works perfectly here though. Nice one!

Hi Jona
You created a really authentic feel to this recording, and at stages felt like I was listening to a live recording. It had a really good rhythmic feel. The only thing in my mind was the minor key used for what is a very positive message - it made me wonder if a minor key associated with sad or negative emotions is actually a social construct, if you catch my drift. Like Ron, I enjoyed the exclamations of joy.
Good song!

I like everything about this song, Jona.
Cool band, beautifully arranged and very well produced, and with Llyod you got a really good singer.
Enjoyed my listen a lot [Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]

Jona, I hope you and your two friends contribute more to this forum, you are great together.
Outstanding vocal and lyrics. Super instrumentation (loved that piano, organ, and bass), groove, and mix.
This is a fantastic song.

OK, a random thought;

Hi Jona, what great movement and uplift in this. Love the hmm's, love the harmonies, the piano solo sounds very music box which suits, but would love to see the lyrics all together in your description here. Looking forward to more.

Ooo good feel, and I like the lyrics. A cool melody sung so well, and I dig the sound approaching Mexico. Good Bridge, too. Nope too many guitars is no problem; too many guitarists definitely could be. smile

Enjoy whatever happens!

Andrew!Thank you for your very encouraging text.
We have a lot of songs where I had a melody ready but I didn't have the words.
I have a friend on the other side of Finland who sends me poems.
And he has no idea what kind of melodies I have
But they always go perfectly with one of my melodies so there's no need to change anything.
So he didn't know I had a minor key song. But the chorus status in D major!

Jona, I really enjoyed this on my Sunday morning--very appropriate, so I'm glad I clicked to listen. I esp liked the stops--very effective. As others have said, the energy and spirit is fantastic, and I think you used the BIAB RT's in just the right way to augment the performance. May I ask you to post the lyrics for your upcoming projects? I'm most interested in absorbing them as I listen. Great work, and I completely enjoyed it!!

Hi, Jona.

Cool groove, strong vocal. I like the way it builds into the song, as is the hold at 2:18.

I enjoyed the listen! smile
