Sadly we lost my the light of our lives and best friend yesterday. Max , our beautiful cavoodle passed. He was 14 and a half.
We are in a world of pain right now.
I will return when I can.

Thankyou.

Heartbroken Izzy.

Well done Izzy! A good heartfelt song with a bit of rawness and passion, given plenty of room for the vocal by a simple guitar backing. Those strings! They say the cello is closest to the human voice and it added just the right emotion. I love your melody lines - they take the listener on a journey up and down and not always to a guessable destination, but always pleasing. Lots of good interval jumps in there.

If I were you, I’d rifle through those sparks more often! Loved it

Hi Izzy, listening as I type just to say how very familiar that story sounds (and probably to most if not everyone here). I wonder what would happen if all of us put our unfulfilled sparks together? Man, your voice has some serious range!

Now that I've listened, sublime band and lovely tune with some interesting harmonies too. Just a few vocal notes sounded a little pitchy to me, but it somehow added to the charm. I enjoyed the ride.

Oh, yeah, I'm with ya, Izzy. What a fine production. First, your vocal is so strong, and the harmony helps it land a powerful punch --softly in sound, boistrous in quality and emotion. The lyrics and the story they convey are perfect for the melody, and I like how the sound builds and eases to a smooth transition of dynamics.

She never left you, btw.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Beautifully tragic - I love the heartfelt story you tell.
Simple, yet intense.
The vocal harmonies need some work, but it's a wonderful song, so I would invest the time to make it perfect.

Lovely song, Izzy. Love your vocals and the swirling stereo image of the backing track. Very cool big ending before the outro, too. Nicely done!

I really liked the simplicity of the song. This is one where the lyric story is really the heart of it, and I think your arrangement and vocal style were superb in that regard. I esp liked the gentle vocal harmonies, just at the right moment. Your handling of the RT's was perfect for this project. Well done, and I really enjoyed it!

Izzy, this is a fantastic song. Great vocal and backing band; loved that cello. Super mix.
IMHO this is your best to date.

"Coffee rings on yesterday’s page
Your name signed where mine should stay
I trace the ink with trembling hands
It wasn’t mine to understand"

What a great way to start such a powerful song.
One that we enjoyed through and through.
No need to parse it out. All sounded fine to us.

Sorry for your loss ... we completely understand.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?
