I can't yiddish, but got, that it is a jeering song. So I wrote the Finnish lyrics in 1978 picking suitable phrases from Finnish folk songs. Now, when I produced my version, where I sing and play guitar and tenor banjo at my home with Band in a Box and Reaper, I found English translation of lyrics of the song. I got very close, as you can see from the lyrics below. Yoshke Yoshke (original lyrics translated into English) :;:Yoshke, Yoshke, harness the horse, Let him run quickly. AH, so well done, Arri. Brilliant how you fashioned it. You have an incredible knack for doing that with these old traditional songs from all over (a big part of) the world. Excellent band and your contributions always add the right touch. Cool vocals, and the clarinet it perfect.

I submitted a klezmer song a couple of years ago, but this is much better!!

Thanks. I'm glad you like my effort to bring here also very different music, but mostly folk or root originated with a modern touch. Because I'm not searching fame or richness, I produce what I like and can (specially my vocal capability limits a lot).
