Could you please clarify the difference between these two DOWNLOAD options, if you have the 2025 audiophile edition?

2026 PlusPAK Upgrade from Version 2025 Audiophile Edition: $149 (*Requires the 2025 Audiophile Edition.) **Only available for a limited time!**
...
Upgrade from any previous 2025 Audiophile: $199 (reg: $299) (*Requires Version 2025 Audiophile Edition.) **Includes: 2026 program updates and the FLAC files (lossless audio) for the 202 NEW RealTracks in Sets 468-488!

Since the second option is higher priced, and mentions new RealTracks 468-488 specifically, does that mean these new sets are not in the first option? In other words, you would get the program feature upgrades from the base 2026 program for $149, but not the newest RealTracks?

To ask it another way: I have the 2025 Audiophile version with all known RealTracks. I want to download the audiophile upgrade to 2026 and get the 202 new RealTrack sets also. Which option do I buy?

I don't have the answers, but I found this statement interesting: "Upgrade from any previous 2025 Audiophile".
How many previous 2025 Audiophile versions are there?

Ahhaa. Thanks for the clarification. I've never used the download version.

I'm just saying the language should be precise where there is a cost difference and the possibility of confusion.

Remembering what was available last year, I think it matters how you got the content for the 2025 audiophile version. You might have ordered the downloadable update that was ONLY the FLAC files that were newly released. That left you with mostly WAV files and corresponding WMA files, with some newly added FLAC files. Or you might have ordered the higher priced update in 2025 that gave you ALL the PAST RealTracks as FLAC files AND the new 2025 ones too. Then what you have in your BIAB installation is ALL the pre-2025 RealTracks as all three formats: FLAC, WMA, and WAV, plus the 2025 RealTracks as just FLAC.

Is that clear? And am I correct?

I know the PG Team is slammed, but Id love to get an answer to Matt's question, before I order... also, how long is a "limited time" ?

To PG Music Staff...

Please respond to Matt's original post as I too would like clarification on this same topic. Thanks!

Yes, it's not very clear, and I too will wait to place my order till a clear answer arrives from PGMusic.

Anyway, I've always bought in the last years the physical Audiophile version, and I remember that last year, after the FLAC innovation, I asked the PGMusic chat if, from the following year (=this year) on, I could buy only the download version in order to obtain the same files of the physical one, and their answer was YES, there was no need to keep on with the harddisk version. And this was a good news, since last year, due to a long Canadian post service strike, the HD arrived late, in the middle of the usual Christmas post services chaos. So, I too need some confirmation if the $149 is ok for me, and what's the difference (if any) with the $199.

Alfredo

Hello!

Apologies for the typo!

If you have the 2025 Audiophile Edition and want the download, you will want the 2025 Audiophile PlusPAK Upgrade for $149. You will find that here: https://www.pgmusic.com/bbwin.packages.audiophiledl.htm

Thank you!

Thanks, Catherine.

To Matt's specific question, when I look at the attached products page (see image and the "below the fold" part of this same page), it looks to me as though while both provide the new 2026 program upgrades, the primary difference between the two Audiophile upgrade options you listed above is one ($199) contains flac files for *all RTs* and comes on an *SSD* while the other upgrade option reads to me as containing the flac files for *only the new 2026 RTs* and is provisioned as an *online DL*.

That's my reading. Still, a confirmation by Support would be welcome.

Shawn Rampy

Does that mean the $199 package was all a 'typo'? It appears to be gone now.

If someone last year who had a 2024 audiophile version ordered just the $149 downloadable upgrade, they would only have 2025 FLAC files. I still think that the $199 package solves a need, to give an audiophile user ALL the RealTracks as FLAC files. It's just that I think it isn't a download. However, I remember there was a test and one person (Rustyspoon) did download ALL the RealTracks as FLAC files.

This still needs clarification please.

This is weird. I paid $169 two days ago for "Band-in-a-Box Audiophile to Audiophile DL Upgrade 2026 for Windows - BUAARX-I", an option that no longer exists.

DC Ron, they had an error with pricing specifically with these packages. I've reported this yesterday. I suggest using PGM Chat, to resolve this.

Hello,

Yes, it was an error and was removed. Anyone who had the 2025 FLAC file does not need to download the full version again, they only need the PlusPAK upgrade.

Thank you!

Cool! It is actually a very sweet price point for Audiophile, and I am very happy they made Audiophile update incremental.

Please think this through. People could have just FLAC files for 2025 only, or FLAC files for all prior RealTracks. Last year there were TWO options.

Matt, you are taking about option to install WMA version, that was a part of 2025 Audiophile install?

I guess... the easiest way would be to provide both, standard PlusPak and Audiophile PlusPak to Audiophile PlusPak customers as two separate links, so they don't have to download something that they don't need.

Hi Matt,

This upgrade was specifically for 2025 Audiophile customers, so they already have all the 2025 FLAC files. If they need to download these again, it is in their 2025 download links.

If they have an earlier version, they have their specific upgrade paths that will have all the FLAC files.

Hope that makes sense.

Thank you!
Catherine
