THAT VOICE!
A fab arrangement and narrative with Torrey trademark harmonies.
Smooth but with biting harmony lead guitars.

Strong lyrics. You have perfected that 70s style sound so well. Guitar sound is phenomenal. Those BIAB sound like they are part of the song---meaning that sometimes those BIAB ooos and ahhhs don't quite fit in some songs, but here you blended them in well. Thanks Scott! I had to do some surgery on those BIAB oohs and Ahhs and blend in my own to make it work! At least I can count on the BIAB singers being on-pitch! TB

Finally a real human singing! I decided not to comment any AI made songs, so it's great to hear real human singing with it's personal sound. Well produced song reminding me about hits of 1980s. Thanks for commenting! I'm not a fan of AI vocals! I can tell instantly when I hear them! I won't use them as long as I can at least stay close to proper pitch. When all the slight imperfections are removed by inserting AI vocals it kills the authentic sound of a track IMHO! For those who have no other way to get their track down, I understand the usefulness though! Take care, TB

Hey Torrey, Laurent nailed the parallels; I might add Styx. Great classic sound. Catchy chorus. As for the few and far between, better to put out something this good than a so-so a day.

Torrey, excellent posting! So many nice little details in there: the light "don't go..", the break after the solo portion, the suspended ending, use of the landslide metaphor, and many others. I'm with you on the few and far between, but please don't stop creating.
The other day, out of the blue, a friend mentioned Julian Lennon. This production reminded me of that conversation. It has has a similar vibe to popular music of that time period. Thanks Scott! I've always liked Julian's work! Interestingly Ron, my co-writer on this one, knows Julian personally! TB

It is nice to hear a new one from you, especially when it is another enjoyable pop-rock song with influences from several styles and decades. Clear message and the melody go perfectly hand in hand.
It is pleasure to listen to your vocal performance, top class from those fragile high notes ("don't go") to the lush harmonies.
The instrumentation sounds very nice - fiddle and strings support the mood very well. Nice solo with your trademark guitar effects. And the mix is mouthwatering, smooth like chocolate mousse, the low end is solid and clear.

This is a great rock ballad.
The chord progression is fresh, and the melody is accordingly innovative.
Your vocals and twin guitars are fantastic and are the heart of this song.

Wow!!! This is incredible. I love everything that you and Ron and done. This is first-class listening – lyrically, musically, production-wise and performance-wise. Your arrangement and production captured my attention and held it throughout the song. Moreover, the arrangement and production were a perfect frame for your performances and writing. The first thought that solidified in my mind as I listened was "This is truly superb in all directions."

There's a lot of truth in those thought provoking four lines.
Very soulful vocals!
Excellent BiaB session guys ... they well supported your guitar performances.
Wonderful twin guitars in solos
That is one good mix. Every track has it's place.
Lot of nuances and dynamics too.

I think I'm a bit late, but never for a good song. And this is truly a very, very good song. In every way: the vocals, the song itself and its structure, the lyrics, absolutely everything!
However poignant your words are, it's also simply a pleasure to listen to.
I've long considered your choruses one of your strongest points in your songs, and well... they've remained that way!
