Hi!
After upgrading to BIAB2026/win, I noticed the following regarding loops:
Using the MultiPicker, I select an additional (non-BIAB) loop that I have placed in a separate folder "ownloops" under the normal "bb\RealTracks\Loops". These loops are found and can be demoed in the MultiPicker BUT remains silent after selecting and regenerating.
If I instead use the classic LoopsPicker (which also gives some additional features, like "retrigger loop on every beat" etc), the loops works fine after selecting and regenerating.
I see in the manual pages, that non-BIAB loops "can be added to this [bb\RealTracks\Loops] folder". Still, having them in my own sub-folder has worked previously (before BIAB2026 I didn't use the MultiPicker).
I guess that the obvious workaround would be to just move all my own loops - but it still seems like a good idea to keep the non-BIAB ones separate.
Or is there simply a "rebuild" button that I miss, like the one for RealStyles? Or a path to add somewhere?

I rarely use loops but if I were you I would copy your loops into the correct BiaB folder and keep your original folder stored out of BiaB, preferably on an external drive. That way if there is no rebuild you will always have them if an update erases them.

Hi Mikael,
I don't use loops so I'm not sure if what you are experiencing is expected behaviour or incorrect behaviour. I've had a read through the section on loops For this reason, I've passed on your question, and a link to this URL, to the development team.
After reading about loops on pages 120–121 in the 2026 manual, I can see differences between the two pickers. The standalone Loops Picker is the one that allows a user to set the looping information for imported loops. This information is stored in a .bt6 file that BIAB uses to when generating the loop. The Multipicker Loops Picker does not allow looping information to be created.
Have the loops that you've imported had their characteristics set? If these settings are not done by the user, BIAB will use default settings which means that the loops are neither transposed nor tempo-stretched.
