2026 Ultrapak latest build

Upon opening sgu files get lots of errors.

Have the locations for RT and RD set to drive D: in preferences.
I have the RT that it says it cannot find.[Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]

Classic case of "Rebuild" Styles needed. Give it a go.

Thanks but does not seem to make a difference. Tried 3 songs, all have errors like this.
Songs are a bundle of songs purchased from someone who is a member and has a website
all about BIAB. I only mention this as to imply the songs were done by someone with experience.

Only drum track plays .... others are not muted.

The last error message shows C:\bb\Soloists\ ...
Do those ST2 files exist there?

I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

While this may seem to be a long stretch, I would also try a Return To Factory Settings from the options menu. Then recheck the location of the RealTracks & Drums just in case they were reset.

Danna,

When you used the 'rebuild' option in Stylepicker, did you use Fast Rebuild or Slow Rebuild? I suggest the slow rebuild. Also, when you click on one of the Rebuild options, a window opens that contains the paths of Realtracks and Realdrums. This defaults to c:\bb\Realtracks and c:\bb\Drums. Make sure that this is set to d:\bb\Realtracks and d:\bb\Drums before running the rebuild.

If you go to Help | About, and look at the very bottom of this dialog, it will tell you where Band-in-a-Box is running, e.g.:
C:\bb\BBW64.exe

The .st2 files like RElGt187.st2 that it is complaining about need to be present in the Soloists folder in that bb directory, e.g.: C:\bb\Soloists. When you install RealTracks, the audio files go in the RealTracks folder (which may be a custom location like), and the .st2 files go in the Soloists subfolder in your main Band-in-a-Box folder.

Try doing a search for one of the missing st2 files on your computer and see where it's found.

Did a search and have 70 st2 files .... though not sure why that date shows as I just recently installed 2026 version.

Danna,

When you mention the 2026 Ultrapak, did you purchase the whole Ultrapak or just the upgrade? Also, in relation to .ST2 files, as MoultiPass has mentioned, there should be many more than 70.

For comparison, my \bb\Soloists\ folder has 3,527 .ST2 files.

Search for the .ST2 files on all disks and copy them into the C:\BB\Soloists folder, that will already help.

My Everything software does search all disk .... thanks.

Tried slow rebuild .... still get errors when loading one of the prior songs tried.

But the Realtrack folder the song references is in D:bb\Realtracks

not sure why my ST2 count is so low

Initially used the install manager to create 2 external drives.

Short story .... my ST2 files are on that external drive.
Copied them to my C:\bb\Soloist folder.
Tried all previous songs and a few more, all no errors.

Great - you might also want to copy/merge some other folders - in particular the 'Demos', and 'Styles' folders - from that external location to the C:\bb location.

Thanks Andrew.
Think those two folders are good.
Demos folder = 2778 items
Styles folder = 11,647 items

It's a joy to open any of my hundreds of song files and get no errors.
Can finally start learning !

Thanks
