Marty,
This is truly outstanding in every aspect. Love the story, instrument tracks and your always EXCELLENT vocal.
Some really great bass lines and that mix is pro. You have a real winner here!
Bob Thanks, Bob. In my mind you are first in many ways. Marty, Cool song. Nice write. NICE vocals! Super bass, as always. Good use of BIAB - the accordion is just-right. Your girl made me dizzy with all that spinning fj Thanks, Floyd. I had a video done with just stills. I shouldn't've tried to make her dance. Marty I think the vocal stands well just like it is! You recorded an excellent sounding song here! Love the south of the border sound here, really authentic sounding to me. I don't know how you keep coming up with so many great songs in rapid succession, but it's a great thing! Keep on rockin' TB Thank you, Torrey. Well, I take no credit and no blame for what is created, and am grateful when it passes through. Marty - great song with your usual excellent vocal, for me the accordion could come up just a smidge but then I'm a squeezebox lover! Wow the guitar solo is really tasty, and very cool sounding - who played that I wonder, classy!! Intoxicating Chica Roja indeed, well done Marty!
Thanks, Carl. I kept turning up the sqeezbox, then turning it down, then over and over. Now I'll go back in to squeeze some more out of it.
[quote=laurent4114]The video is truly fantastic at showcasing the song so well. Great job, Marty. Laurent Thanks, Laurent. Just noticed a notification from YT that you have another one too. I'll be there.

Hey, Marty. I thought I'd give this a listen before I wash dishes. Now I'm going to dance with that music in my head while doing the dishes and hopefully none will fall on the floor! That's really different...a Tex Mex groove! I hadn't heard that done before. Your vocals are superb on it. The minor keys really give it the mood. I enjoyed it! Very well done! John

Hi Marty. This is a great write and a great performance. I wouldn't trade-in your vocalist or the bass player for the world They are fantastic! The story made me smile, tap my feet and feel totally entertained. Loved the listen. --Noel

Hi Marty,
Did the idea for this song come when I told you about my son's relationship with a Mexican girl dressed in red? It ended painfully a few years ago, but a few weeks ago she came to visit us with her family. And then you came with her, doing this amazing dance!
I already sent you a message on YouTube, but the song is so catchy I had to listen to it over and over again. Your choice of instrumentation is fantastic. The washboard (is that what you call it?) sounds authentic and enhances the atmosphere of the song. I really enjoyed it. Now I use the words "Chica Roja" all the time. My wife wants me to stop...

Tex-Mex, I enjoy it both orally and aurally Lovely band, enjoyed the versatile percussions and the accordion is always a nice surprise. And that solo guitarist fits like beans in tortilla, yum! And of course the bass guy sounds like he has been playing this type of music all of his life. Great effects and your singing/talking is lively and soulful. The story with melancholy mood, together with the captivating video, intoxicates any innocent mind, beautiful! You surely can mold curvaceous snapshots with your words and BIAB Janne

Hi Marty! That Am - F - E chord move sounds good. I’ve always liked the sweeping strum pattern used - or maybe it was the scraper? In any case, a cool sound. Vocal sounds good. Andrew Thank you, Andrew. Si, Senor Marty
Muchas gracias, si numero uno to meeeee!
Sorry, my Mexican is non-existent! You certainly have captured that Mexican or is it Spanish feel in this number. And I think your vocals added to that feel, effects or modifications weren’t need.
Well done Marty, kind regards Thanks, Lee. I get your Spanish even though you know moreofit than I do. Marty, you samba as well as swing...very cool & lots of fun in the sounds added to the band arrangement. The bass is particularly good. Love it! Next will be Samba Swing. hehe Thanks, Ray. BabuMusic, nice little shift in the chord work, I think most flamingo changes would have been Am-Dm-E7, but the F fits well. Nice job. Donny G Thanks, Donny. F-E was my mom's name. Slinky and cool, Marty. LOVE your vocals: Almost over the top, but not a parody, and they work perfectly. That's a nice band, and the bass player is quite excellent, too. Super tune! Thanks, Ron.

Like the band, especially the accordion. Your vocals sound good - not weird at all.
Your video shows that Chica was having as much fun as those she was dancing for. (Janice said she envisioned Charley dancing as she listened.😊)
Nice mix and bass glue.
FUN!

Love that rhythm, Marty.
Vic Thanks, Vic. TexMex with a cool swing and French accordion. A beautiful blend of different cultures. The best thing about it are your vocals, which are like a French wine that gets better with every year. Enjoyed my listen(s). A lot ![[Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]](https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/images/icons/default/thumbs_up.gif) Thanks, Brain. Wondering how you picked up the accent from the sqeezebox. BUt that French wine nod made me smile. Yes, it's amazing how prolific you are, but also it's incredible all the genres you encompass. And your singing just fit the song so well. No need for special effects, the special effect was you! Great job. Thanks much, Bob. I like all music (except maybe Polkas, but if that's all there is, I still enjoy them). Credit for the different genres goes to BiaB. I like jamming when someone says something like, "You Can't Do That in Reggae." Thankfully I haven't found a single Polka in the 5000 styles from BiaB. Wow, Marty! I like this! Great feel and great vox. Nicely done. Who played the guitar solos? Thanks so much, Paul. I looked it up, but can't find which RT I used for the solo. Marty, your vocal sounds great That bass track is super Great video and mix Another winner Thanks, Mario. I think I only wrote this one so I could play bass... and maybe to roll my Rs. Sounds great as usual, Marty, love the vid too! THanks, Dave. Like Floyd I get dizzy watching her circle. Couldn't even get the Ai to have her turn counterclockwise. Sheesh. I should've kept it with stills,

I quote my YT comment: "Caramba y crikey y Ai Chihuahua! Great dance song and video! 💃💃💃 The mix excellente! Thanks, Arri. I quote my YT comment: "Caramba y crikey y Ai Chihuahua! Great dance song and video! 💃💃💃 The mix excellente! Thanks, Chay. I didn't see that comment, but appreciate it. Hi, Marty. That's one big dress. Band sounds great, kudos to the vocalist. The solo turned out well, too! -- David Hi, David. Thanks much. Yeah, that dress had to be big and red to get more attention. Hey, Marty. I thought I'd give this a listen before I wash dishes. That's quite an impression you give: you dancing around, spilling suds, maybe breaking a dish or two (always on the beat of course). Hi Marty. This is a great write and a great performance. Hans Thanks, Hans. I forget how the song developed; I'm usually more of an interested bystander as the song develops. I bet you mean the accordion or sqeezebox or a bunch of other names, but a washboard is actually a washboard played as percussion. Not in this one. Thanks, Janne. I always look forward to your comments. Haha -beans in a tortilla, and all that. I originally wanted a wierd, barker-type guys singing it, as if he's advertising the new town sensation, but... Like the band, especially the accordion. Your vocals sound good - not weird at all.

J&B Thanks, JaniceAndBud. Ha! I'll send ya a vid of Charley dancing; you'll get a kick out of her partner. Love this Marty. Loved your vocal and lyric. Your bassline were first class. Gives the song a texture and feel that you feel in your chest. Awesome tune Thanks, Scott. Siometimes I write songs just so I can add bass.
