Whether playing or exporting to .mp3, the first beat of the count-in does not play. I tested 1-bar and 2-bar count-ins. I tried different count-in patterns. I tried different count-in instruments. No matter what I tried, the first sound/note of the count-in does not play/is muted. For example, for the 2-bar pattern "1-3-1234", the first "1" is silent. I hear "--3-1234".
I have never paid close enough attention to notice this myself. I found this out while responding to a post in the German forum by user swazy.
I've experienced similar issues, but was never sure if my sound output had muted until it received a signal.
Please give more detail on the style, the specific count-in options, and more and we can attempt to repeat. (I do agree that there can be issues).

We do need more info on this. It will either be a RealTrack drum lead-in or a Midi drum lead-in. Also it would be a good idea to know what Midi synth you have chosen just in case it is a Midi drum-lead in.
I have see this happen in the past.
For am example of what could go wrong, I am currently playing a song using _Thumb.sty and it's associated demo song and the 1st beat of my drum lead-in is a few DB down from counts 2-3-1-2-3-4. It is not missing, just noticeably down in volume. It is a RealDrum track, not Midi.
See attachment.

For my test, I used "Blue Monk.sgu" from the Norton_Music_Fake_Disks F37 The Real Book Vol 1 6th ed. It uses a RealDrums track. You're correct that the first beat is there, but at very low volume. What is totally bizarre is that when I maxed out the volume for the Song (from 0 to 36), the first beat was not only audible, but noticeably louder than the beat on 3 (for a 1-3-1214 count-in). IMO, that's a behavior that needs fixing.

I won't be able to test anything since I do not have that particular SGU file. I did test some random songs with different styles and I can sense that the 1st beat is lower than the rest of the counts on everything I tested. I actually have known this for a while now but never brought it up since is was not important to me.
That said, I do not know why this occurs.

I've noticed it myself and always assumed it was buffers loading at the very beginning.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome Make your sound your own!

Try this and see if you hear the same thing.
1. Start a New File 2. Change the style to Blank.Sty Blank 4/4 Even 8th.
You should have a song with no chords and only a standard drum kit.
If you generate the song, you might be able to subtly hear the difference in each lead in drum count.
Since I am using the standard 1-3-1-2-3-4 count in, I hear the 1st count having some reverb and it sounds like it is in the background. The 3rd count sounds OK. The next sequence of 1-2-3-4, I hear 1 and 3 very slightly lower then counts 2 and 4.
It is not my ears as the waveforms from 2 different programs recorded the hits and the levels are different.
One is from Total Recorder and the other is from Adobe Audition.
It's not a big problem at all but it is there.
