Dave and Chris, the original song was OK but adding Marty and reworking parts of the song took it to a new level, a very high and professional sounding level. I loved everything about this version.

Dave,
This is brilliant! I love the way that the musical backing is woven. This is a work of aural art. The way the instruments come in and out and pan across the stereo field makes this a listening treasure. As always, Chris's singing is superb. She really settles into these lyrics and becomes part of the song. Then there's Marty's excellent bass work and your always-outstanding guitar playing. Honestly, I cannot imagine how this could be any better than it already is.
Listening pleasure at its very best. --Noel

Hi Dave,
I already posted my reaction on YouTube, but I'm listening to it again now! Great song, great singing, great lyrics, great solo, but why did Marty get fired? Oh, I see now, he wasn't fired. Thank goodness Real Track 683 got fired!
The song has a nice tempo and rhythm, and everything sounds clear and flowing. I love these kinds of songs, but you knew that already ;-)
Hans Marty was not around when Chris an I started working together, so back then I used BIAB bass players. It's great to have him on the updated versions of these songs! Thanks, Hans! Well produced, played and sang! Thanks!

Super guitar work. Tasty opening. Nicely played. Marty's bass sounds great. ALWAYS love Chris' vocals...AND her writes. Sweeeeet solo. Piano works well.
Excellent mix.
Love it.
fj Yeah, Chris is amazing and Marty always kicks things up a notch or two. Thanks, floyd, very much appreciated!

Top shelf. The mix is terrific. Well balanced. The vocal is great and sits where it should, guitar too.
Way to go! Thanks, Scott! Hi, Dave. Nice, wide mix. I love how the intro brings the instruments in. Of course, from that point it only get better. Vocals, guitar, everything - sounds great! Are you bouncing that piano from side to side? So good! Thanks, David! Piano is in the middle, but it has tremolo and a fair bit of reverb on it, gives it some movement Guitar, bass, drums, vocals, mix - perfect. Absolutely nothing not to like. Enjoyed my listens. A lot! Appreciate that, Brain! Dave and Chris, the original song was OK but adding Marty and reworking parts of the song took it to a new level, a very high and professional sounding level. I loved everything about this version. Marty always brings things to a new level Thanks, Mario! Dave,

Chris' vocal is standout. She has the ability to sound strong and fragile at the same time. The piano works very well. Your guitar is perfect for the feel. Marty's bass, as always, nails the bottom end with great chops and tone. The arrangement and the mix are engaging from the get go. The fine lyric is melancholy ... but the sound of movement in the performance made us want a roadtrip. Enjoyed it! J&B PS: FWIW we felt the new version has more pop and sheen to it. Which always the outcome we hope for when re-doing a tune.

Dave this really moves. Vocal, instruments and Marty's solid bass. Everything fits.

Really cool redo Dave. I think the new mixes and redo sound so much better. I think would contributes it is better updated equipment and of course more years of experience. I know my DAW (now Fender Studio Pro) is so much better for production, mixing and mastering. Everyone is spot on. Everything sits so good in the mix.. Well done

A fine, fine production. Chris' voice is flawless and clear. Putting the piano back into the chorus was a smart move. Adding good old Marty to the mix was an even smarter one!
